Want to remove BOV
I bought the car a couple months ago and saw that it had a BOV before I bought it. I know they don't come equipped with one but I test drove it and found no issues. Well I did alot of digging around and found that most have to get a tune to be able to run it and I think also the maf has to be relocated (which it hasn't). Here are some pics so maybe I can get some as to how to PROPERLY remove this thing.

If I remove the hose running from the bov during idle it revs high then starts sputtering.

The bpv looks to still be connected and not blocked off and the hose is also still connected

When you unplug it, you have a vacuum leak, so your car will rev higher and run like crap. That is an interesting setup. It's a BPV and BOV set up in tandem, with a "T" in the vac line. I don't know what that 1/8" line is for, though. If it runs fine, leave it. Some have run the BOV's with no issue, while others have multiple issues. To get rid of it you will have to buy a new hotside chargepipe that doesn't have a BOV flange. You might be able to trade someone that wants a BOV setup.

Am betting that 1/8 clear line is for a gauge. I think you're right though, simply unplugging it won't do. pinching it off might get by until he gets a new upper charge pipe. Replacing that pipe is the only right way to do it.

Welding a plate over would work too as long as it doesn't leak, but I'm sure you can sell it or trade it for one that has no need for welding. There are always a number of guys here that would love to have that. It's purple. It's heat wrapped. You'll have no problem getting a trade set up.

the BPV is not blocked off internally there is no way. i used to have my car's BOV ran like that too because my trifecta tune could never be spot on with it blocked off and MAF relocated. Now im Term2 tuned with the BPV blocked off and MAF relocated and it runs ****!

I'm unsure if its tuned or not. My uncle is the parts and service manager at a chevy dealer so ill take it to him to see if they use their scanner and check it out Ijust need to find the time.

Well no tune I guess, it won't hit over 15 psi. This **** just gets more confusing. Why would someone put an expensive GReddy bov on the car and not even get whoosh. Unless its a knock off.
That is odd, I mean someone could "tune" it for the BOV and not mess with boost but that is highly irregular.

I don't know. Maybe ill just fab something up to drive it for a couple hours. If everything is ok then ill order a new upper c/p and and just to be safe, a new bpv.
Just buy a stock upper chargepipe from someone in the Classifieds section. They're usually pretty cheap. Then you can just run the line from the BPV to the stock location on the solenoid and be back to stock.

Cool I'll give that a shot. Hopefully I can find one on the cheap. Between birthdays, christmas and trying to buy another house I'm a little strapped for right no. Haha.
They usually sell for $40 or so, and you can get your money back when you sell the BOV and chargepipe, and then some.

I bought this complete LNF package hoping to put it in my LSJ but it's looking like it isn't going to happen now. The drivetrain was pulled from an 09 TC test car with virtually no miles on it.
Anyway, I seem to have what you need and will never use it..PM an address and I'll send it to you for FREE!
Merry Christmas my friend and good luck buying your new home..
