warranty question

hey guys

my question is : If i buy an aftermarket intake and go to the dealer and make them install it.
am i still covered since THEY installed it....?

and if i installed an aftermarket intake b y myself and i have a trouble with my engine..can they say you installed a aftermarket intake so your are no longer covered by your waranty?

The ONLY warranty "void" will be your stock air intake system, but why would you care, it is not installed any more, why would you want warranty on something you are not using, or why would you need it? Adding an intake will NOT void your over all car warranty. So it really does not matter who installs it, you, a dealer, or another shop. All of the above applies.

IMO get an intake, install yourself, save $, and be happy.

Go to the dealer and ask them, every dealer has a different attitude to aftermarket parts.

Also if the motor blows after install They would easily say it was either you or the aftermarket intake that caused the issue.
