WB O2 sensor '08 SS/TC

Part # and availability for the front WB O2 sensor?

Over 30k miles on mine and it looks like getting flaky from being cooked so much. I tried searching for a part # in the forum but no luck. Aftermarket or OEM? Price?

Thanks!

Would like to know as well. Thinking of changing before the race season do to the race gas. Kind of preventative

Thanks! Ordered it and a cupholder liner from a G5. Logs have been looking a little flaky lately and since I ran some leaded 110 blend last year I figure it's time.

Mine crapped out so I am heading to the dealer on monday. It has been acting up for a few months now and it finally died completely and is showing a P2237 code that is not just coming and going away like it did in the past. I have never run any leaded gas or any race gas in my car. Me thinks they are getting too hot because GM placed them right on the turbo housing rather than on the DP.

Relocating mine a little further down the line is on the project list this spring.

I used to keep various Bosch based widebands (same sensor) in the o2 housing of my DSM's and they'd get cooked there too. Moved them to the downpipe and all was well.

When an O2 hasn't popped a code yet, what do the logs look like when it starts getting sketchy?

A/F bounces around a lot even on a bone stock car down the the airfilter. A/F spikes to 1.1 lambda and down to 0.89 lambda sometimes just while cruising. Misfires happen a lot even at idle. Rough idle especially when the car is first started even if the engine is already hot.

Just have to plug the old bung, extend the wiring for the sensor and weld in a new bung on the DP right before the cat if you have one still that is.

Mine has been acting up for about 4 months or so now and it was starting to annoy me when I can get everyone's elses cars tuned perfectly for intakes and such and mine would not dial in for me. Runs better now that it finally died because now the ECM is going off MAF, MAP and RPM not trying to correct for a lean or rich condition that is not really there.

I saw this get answered before on another thread, but I couldn't tell what the final word was on it. How hard is that O2 on the turbo and the plug to get to?

You will definately need at 02 sensor socket to make install easier. The sensor plugs into a connector right on the driver's side back corner of the valvecover. The only thing that makes it a PITA is all the AC lines are right there in the way.

I had an intermittent P2237 last summer and disabled the code. Happened a month after going catless before the leaded 110 though. I thought it was the downstream one since I was catless, guess not.

Bank 1 sensor 1 is the WB. Bank 1 sensor 2 you need to worry about at all.

Short Extension + O2 socket worked best for me when I changed it. Reset the VCM after you change it

I'll be doing that then.

There's a local outfit that's got these:
http://www.modernperformance.com/ueg...or-p-1691.html

Would that work? Since they're local, I could grab one today if that's the case. If it's different somehow, then I'll just order and wait.
