At the least about 4 hours. Anything over 3 hours is a rental.

The labor time for replacing the head on the LNF is 10.7 hours. Its quite a bit of work taking it off; turbo comes off, timing chain comes off, electrical, oil, cooling, air intake/exhaust, etc.

Add in a dealership thats never done it before, doesn't have the replacement part and maybe a few specialty tools and you are looking at more than a day or 2.

You are acting pretty immature about it first of all. If they don't have the heads in stock yet they may have to come all the way from Germany. I broke my axles when the cobalt first came out and it took 5 days to get replacements from Sweden.

Secondly try owning a GTO like I did. Parts take 28 days to get to the dealership thanks to freight over the ocean. You break something and the dealer will have to hold it until the parts are in stock.

I hear what you are saying, and I imagine how stressful it is for you. Service writers dont know how long its going to take in real life when you bring a car in for a problem. They are not required to fix it in their estimated time. 10.7 hours takes a lot of work. Basically anything 3+ hours takes all day.

I'm a tech outside of pittsburgh. #1 certain lnf parts are on restriction right now. #2 noone has been into them(aside form lordstown or who ever builds them and writes repair instructions, unless they have a chevy and pontiac or saturn dealer in one) #3 we only have chevy at the kenny ross store im at , and i know for a fact we didnt get any of the special tools yet. #4 head on anything usually isnt a stocked item. so sit tight, patience

Thats high stock whp!

Did you do multiple after tune pulls? The first pull after tune needs to be thrown out.
