Driver mod or not, he asked what trans to run next. Just get an lsj trans, your just going to blow another one, no point in spending more than you have to. Don't know why you post up for help here when you can just ask James. I'm going to have to show you how to use the search bar also.

Mark please point out where he blamed the trans. It's ok I'll wait...

how is he not? he's had two fail, and wants to upgrade.. he's certainly not blaming anything else..

and the reason we bring up "driver mod" is because unless he changes how he's driving the car he will continue to just go through them. when the same things fail multiple times, it's more than likely not that part causing it. so unfortunately his theory of "oh it must be the transmission isn't able to handle it" is not true.

i dont see him saying "oh it must be the transmission isnt able to handle it" ..............

"The gearbox is rated for 260 ft-lb (353 Nm) of engine torque."

what i found on it. and have heard many complaints about 2nd gear.........i mean yes it is still the drivers fault, but lets be honest here. the transmission is not good for all this torque these cars put out. i blame the driver and the transmission in my opinion.

and dont do the LSJ trans, go with the HHR trans IMO.....it still has the 4.05 diff and better TOB then the LSJ, even though you could easily just swap out that when installing the trans. dont know the dif in price between a HHR trans and LSJ trans

I asked for you to point out where HE blames the trans and it seems you cannot. He didn't ask whats causing it to fail, if he had you might have answered his question. While you are probably right, he never blamed the trans and you still haven't answered his question. What hes really asking is, will the lsj or hhr trans hold up aswell as the Lnf? I know that's not what he asked, but I know that's what he's trying to ask lol.

not a thing. zzp stage 4 clutch, lnf tob(failed right now i need a new one), and some powell time attack mounts on the way. other than that it's an unmodified open diff transmission.

442whp 450 ft lbs on a stock lnf trans with a spec stage 3+ and aluminum flywheel...... never broke a thing.

but as ex said..... its obviously how the cars being driven. we understand what hes asking but something needs to change or eventually the upgrades going to brake too. had an srt 4 transmission come in that smashed a MAP billet shift selector.....100% crappy drivings fault and it was a stock turbo car..... i see guys running stock ones that dont get smashed like that. eventually they upgrade because they snap off though.

you have a better chance of saving your trans on slicks than you do on street tires or a drag radial

From what I've seen, yes, usually 3rd, but it's the tq not the hp.

Mark, 4 posts in and you have done nothing but blame the driver, bragged about your numbers and how you haven't had any problems, and you still have yet to answer his question smh...
