jee-sus. Where do all these people see cars going that slow?! a stock c5 is a 3-4mph higher trapping car than an ss/tc easily (stock that is).

I'm talking with at least a tune on our cars as well.

12.7's in the 1/4 are possible with full bolt-ons, a tune and stock tires with our cars...isn't that what revhigh ran against an LS6 Trans Am and he beat him by a hair? (heavier than the vette, I know)

I've ran against my moms auto C4 with headers and a corsa catback several times (brother driving it) and I can murder it from a roll...3 cars +. From a dig it pulls about a car on me out of the hole and I make it up by the end of 2nd, I've got 2 cars on it by the end of a 1/4. I think the weight is similar to a stock C5 and it's probably got about 25-30HP less than a stock LS1 C5 with the mods it has now? I'm not sure though.
you are underestimating the ls6 a TON. 12.7's are possible with the bolt ons with some meaties and a GREAT driver. Throw a great driver in a stock ls6 and he'll pull off high 11's.

its just numbering my friend. ls1 and ls6 are 5.7's, ls2 is a 6.0. ls3 and ls9 are both 6.2's but the 9 has a blower, ls7 is a 7.0

Oh trust me, not hating or underestimating, I know they'd hand me my ass from a dig unless I could pull off some uber driving and the other driver was not so great.

Even THEN I think they'd still pull on me by the end of a 1/4 with a so-so driver and I mentioned that in the previous post. But I do think a bolted and tuned TC could hang with one from a ROLL when traction is less of a factor, maybe not though.

And by "meaties" do you mean slicks? Because the run I referenced was on the stock conti's, sorry just not familiar with the term, lol.

There is no bolted LNF coming close to a LS6.

Traction and weight transfer are part of being a "fast" car. If Usain Bolt could beat anyone in the world from a 7mph jog, but sucked at starting, he wouldn't have an olympic medal.

just some great sticky tires is what i refer to as meat . DR's, slicks... The reason I say you're underestimating the ls6 is not only because they will out launch you, but they will also out trap a fully bolted lnf. It is just an all around faster car. I think they are quicker than you realize. ~117mph traps are doable.

Yea, you're right, I didn't realize people were hitting 11.7's stock... I was going off of C&D's (so-so drivers, I know, I know) time of 12.7 stock on the 385HP version and 12.4 stock on the 405HP version.

I wish I had the extra cash for an extra set of wheels and some slicks...I think 12.4-12.6's is a possibility for a fully bolted and tuned TC WITH slicks if guys are running 12.7-12.9's on the stock tires.
