When to the track

I made a few passes @ Houston raceway park
Car has Hp tuners, Hahn 3" downpipe catless and catback, also a cold air intake i made.

First run car was in limp mode or something it ran
2.6 60f
9.4 1/8
81.2 mph
14.2 1/4
103 mph

So next run i disconnected the battery and it ran

2.2 60f
8.7 1/8
87.1 mph
13.30 1/4
108 mph

The reason for your limp mode was most likely that intake you need to log your LTFTs and STFTs and retune your MAF tables for that intake.

The limp/stumbling/bogging could be from the traction control too if you maybe forgot to turn it off.

I liked the disconnect-the-battery mod. You really did do much better the second time.

Pretty crazy a downpipe, intake and tune will net low 13's in these. Good numbers.

Nice 2nd run. How did you launch? I'm struggling to break 2.4 60fts and I'm trapping 108-110

HAHA I did that once. Forgot I turned the car off for a minute and tried to heat the tires in the water box. Ya, I felt real smart. Thought I broke something for a second.

Thats awsome.. I've felt that before, but i am stock. I don't know if my prob is driver mods. Getting consistant 2.2 60' but i can't break 13's for some reason. I have no idea why. It was about 107-110+ degrees though when i was running. Could play a factor, and crap 91 shell fuel. Perhaps not getting all the right shift points.

Was beating c6 vettes that day though. So maybe track??
