If you're going to spend $400 to watch 4 pids on the aeroforce gauges you might as well get the dashdaq, its $550 now and is capable of doing a lot more. You can connect accelerometers to it, widebands, 5v sensors, there's even a gps kit for it. You can also make your own gauges/skins for it.

Theres a neat video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyHS4s1MZxs

that thing is cool but freakin huge!
i would never want that just becuase its so massive, who would want that in a little crowded cobalt.

the aeroforce interceptors are nice and clean and tell u everything that thing can TBH.

and this is muuuuchh cooler

The interceptors are capable of so much more than just displaying 4 sensors. They have a scan mode that will scan through all of your programmed sensors (a **** load of options), the leds are programmable to turn on or off at certain limits (say RPM shift light and a low oil temp warning).

They can record a run to play back frame by frame afterwards.

They have a performance mode that records your 60', 0-60 time, 1/8th mile, and 1/4 mile. This is per gauge, so you can use one to record that data, and the other to record sensor data, like your WBo2 reading and RPM to tune with.

They can read and reset Check engine lights, turn on and off the fan (low and high speed selectable), reset long term fuel trims, initiate a CASE relearn...

Each gauge has TWO 5v sensor inputs to connect whatever you want - EGT sensor, oil pressure, whatever. (So with two Interceptors, you can add on FOUR more sensors)

... My car was the first 08 cobalt ss with these gauges - I tested them for Aeroforce to make sure they worked, so I got a deal. I do highly recommend them for someone that wants a clean install, and its one of the cheaper, full featured scanning gauges out there. Sure those others can do graphical displays, but you had better take it down before parking your car - nice theft target. These gauges will do almost everything that will, except for graphical displays/gps, for cheaper, and look better when installed.

That's not what i meant, each gauge only displays 2 readouts at a time, that's quiet the limitation if you want to see more info don't you think? Look at that dashdaq video starting at 5:25, you have a total of 15 sensors being displayed and even a handy graph showing you their history, you cant watch gauges all the time so a real time graph comes in handy.
Everything you mentioned the dashdaq can do too.

but you had better take it down before parking your car - nice theft target
You know those 3 gauges and gps that you have are more of a theft target than a dashdaq would be, it would replace everything you have there since you can get a gps kit for it. And you'd be able to monitor more than 5 sensors at any time.

These PLX gauges do look good but have very limited OBD2 functionality, and update very slow. You're not going to see any enhanced GM parameters such as knock retard, MAF freq., transmission parameters for the autos, bi-directional controls, etc.
