Thanks man, why so rich, my car started losing power when we pushed the A/F below 12.5 or so so we left it at there or a little leaner. I guess better safe than sorry just watch your cat converter it will run hotter the richer you are. It reacts with all the extra nitric oxides and other waste products in the exhaust gas and those reactions produce all that extra heat. That is why the car does that funny high idle cat warmup thing everytime you cold start it to warm the cats up faster it injects fuel on the compression stroke to richen the mixture up and heat the cat up faster. Just something to keep an eye on.
No haven't had any issues with any of that, we adjust cam timing same with spark timing so that changes things there, i watch the cat temp since our ECM calculate the temp of the cat based on the amount of fuel being sent into the echaust stream never gets above 1200f so it is cool.
It seems like i made more hp and tq in the low 12s it gets there quick cause the turbo spools quick, first gear i think is the only exception cause i have a boost limit of about 7-10psi in 1st
yeah i want to be able to use my first gear lol, also pointless cause you are not in 1st for very long just a crappy gear for a lot of boost, i was also having issues with the damn thing on hills cause i live on a damn mountain pretty much and when ever i needed to move when i was stopped on the hill it would boost to high given me a hard time
Well you can get close to that mark with just a tune which my case was 250. I have a special tune so if i were to get the full boar tune it would be more like 330whp with all my mods but i have to wait to get a new clutch tell i do that.
get a downpipe also

Yep. The richer mixture will load up the motor sooner causing the turbo to spool up a little quicker. I will try a little richer mixture next time I go in for more tuning it may help once I have all my bolt on mods done. I am hoping to see 320-325 whp with timing tables I have in my car. I am also going to do a comparison to see how much of a difference in power there is between my timing table and the stock settings becasue there are a lot of people out there on the stock timing I want to see how much of a difference it makes. I am betting there is a 15-20 whp difference there.

Good idea, the only ECM we have ever checked for proper calibrations are the Duramax engines because if you tune those guys there can be issues because some of those guys go way to extreme
Lol, well how else are you going to get a full sized Duramax to do low 11's in the 1/4!
