Wot???

I've only had my car a short while and have got right at 1600 miles on it. I don't know whats going on but sometimes my car just doesn't pull as hard when going WOT. Temperature hasn't really changed and I watch the boost guage and it always gets to the same amount, around 16-17psi. Is this common? Or is it still breaking in and normal?

I have a supercharged version but I bought mine new and it did the same thing for the first couple thousand miles just didnt seem to pull as hard but then it went to normal. Not saying that your car is the same thing but it might just be normal!

I dont floor it constantly but when I do its sporadic whether or not it pulls hard. It seems that sometimes when its been running longer it doesn't happen as often(like 30min. or so).

are you in an appropriate gear for best acceleration when you are flooring it?

Its not the car...its the fact that you are getting used to the pull. For example I dont feel any "jerk" at all, but my gf says her head still gets pinned to the seat every time. It's common, if youre like me you always think something is messed up when it doesnt pull as hard, so you try to make it pull harder, but at this point you are preparing yourself for it, so you still don't feel it. It's awesome to have a smooth powerband, but it sucks because you dont feel it. My old SRT was totally different, it was very rough and "jerky", so I always felt it. These damn balts are just tooooooo smooth.

I would like to agree but how come sometimes I can feel it and sometimes I can't? I mean, I hope your right, but I didn't know if other tc owners felt it too when they first got it.

i tihnk he is slightly right

but i ave heard many horror stories about the spring. be careful

if ur making turns and trying to gas it its the ESC.

hold the traction control button for 10 seconds when the car is on

let me know how it is from there

From the sounds of it...its all mental. I swore up and down that my clutch was slipping, so I did every test possible, and tried to make it slip, and finally came to the conclusion that it was in my head. Clutch is not slipping, yes it may not bite "quite" as hard as it used to, but clutches do wear slightly over time. Anyways, the best way to test this, is buy a datalogging device and make a few runs.

Of course this "less power" effect could be from something real, like if you do back to back hard runs, your stock IC will get heatsoaked, causing slight HP drop. It could also be driver error, you may not get on it as hard, and shift at exact right time every time. IMHO I seriously just think that you are used to the performance of the car, and you may just be getting worried for nothing. Relax, and enjoy the 260/260 road hugging power that these cars make effortlessly.

its funny you said that, I just got back from giving my car some hell and I thought a couple times my clutch was slipping. what you say about the IC getting heat soaked makes sense though. I got on it several times and after three or four times is when I noticed a difference. Along with that I guess when you race someone you don't necessarily do it five times in a row. I appreciate all the help from you and everyone else. I come from a background of Hondas and still getting use to the old balt! I'll be sure and ask some more ?? if something bad happens.
