I said I would hopefully have it today.... why is everybody being so ridiculous?

I understand my tuner might have tuned incorrectly.

I don't have the information yet.

Chill out.

This- did you see where his stock numbers are? Not questioning that there isn't something wrong but regardless the dyno he is running on will be lower than a dynojet.

Yes your right but usually not by 100 hp. It's pretty easy for a zfr car to hit 400 whp at moderate boost. My car made 330 on a dynojet on stock turbo and 310 on a mustang dyno, same set up different dyno days.

Either way he only gained about 40whp. Doesn't matter how low the dyno reads. That's why I say he's missing an easy 60whp, maybe 80-100

And a lot more of the top end, look at it drop off like a stock turbo. The ZFR should hold the power till 7k and he's stopping at 6.3k.

Finally sombody said it there should be way more climb with the zfr. That was a big give away the tune has issues.

Without looking at the tune I would assume he adjusted the command PE and timing, since the zfr falls off. Then again I cannot recall how the DAL and WG% tables look on a stock or GMstg1 car and I don't have my tuning comp with me now.

Yeah I'm not a tuning or chart reading pro. But all the big turbo charts I've seen over the last 3 or 4 years on LNF's. Not 1 was heading south 300tq at 5.5krmp's lol

They also don't have a tendency of peaking higher torque then hp especially sub 400wh. Usually at lower hp numbers the torque falls short of hp quite significantly since the turbo is barely working.

Power begins to dip off at 5800+rpm. There's clearly a tuning error here IMO to make that happen with a 6758.

24psi should be getting close to 375-400whp on a dynojet.

The numbers are clearly low, however, mean little to nothing without a baseline to go off of. Assuming just for a moment that this IS indeed an extremely low reading dyno (which keep in mind no one here has any real reason to say or believe otherwise), his numbers might be completely relative to a very low reading base line. Personally, my main concern here lays in the graph itself. With power dipping off at 5800+rpm, that screams tuning issue. Even with that said, and even if the graph was charting "as to be expected", he would still never hit close to 400whp on this dyno.

Moral to the story, his "318whp" could potential mop the floors vs another vehicle making say 390whp on a different dyno. 1/4 mile and 60-100 times can help solidify that possibility. Or he can simply run on another (slightly more forgiving) dyno and see what the results are. Either way, there has to be more here than what meets the eye.

His stock numbers on that dyno were listed, the higher pull is the zfr the lower is the ko4. The ko4 made 268whp 293wtq

I gotta tell ya. I certainly hope for his sake that's not the case. Take note of the power curve for both pulls. They graph almost identically throughout the rev range for both the torque and hp curves (particularly hp), just one of course makes more power. Strikes me as a bit odd.

I'm with you on that, but in the OP under the graph a bit he says its the previous KO4 tune, really wish the graph had boost and lambda/afr

ZFR Dyno

would it look like that if you slapped the zfr on and ran it on the same tune as the stock turbo?

Considering there is another HRR with the ZFR that dyno'd on a Mustang Dyno at 389whp / 409wtq.......I still say there's plenty more room to play here.

And these numbers are bang on for a gms1 car.

Making my think something isn't quite right with the ZFR.

I doubt anyone has dynoed after simply bolting on a ZFR and not tuning
But it mAkes you wonder if it wouldn't put down somewhere in the neighborhood of just over 300whp without tinkering...

ya that's awful dyno numbers for zfr. should be at 375-400+ with a proper tune. with those numbers might as well stay on stock turbo. like people said, get a good lnf tuner who has tuned a lot of lnfs. port injection and direct injection are 2 different things.

Here is what is done to the car.

ZZP ZFR6758
ZZP 200 Cell Catted Downpipe
Hahn IC pipes
CS FMIC
KY Stage 3 Clutch

It was an extremely hot day. 96 degrees outside! This was on a mustang dyno, tuned with HP Tuners.

318 Whp
333 Wtq

The other numbers on this graph are from the previous tune they did with the stock turbo.

Any thoughts?
Looks like stock rev limiter pull stops at 6300ish. Although mustang dynos read low the gains from stock turbo are at least 30-40 whp low. I would say it has more in it.

I just hit the track to get some ETs.

I am on good year all season tires, i only went to get a MPH (which still isn't good)

My best time is below:
60' ... 2.358
1/8... 9.09
MPH...82.61
1000...11.58

1/4... 13.718
MPH... 106.18

My MPH I know should be closer to 110.

I am hoping to have another tuner look at this soon.
