So Im having the dealership install my turbo for me....just a heads up the dealership just called me and told me that the Injen Chargepipe does Not reach the turbo. so now i gotta find a pipe to match it. They said its 6 inches off the the turbo. Just my luck...ughhh
The guy installing the turbo worked at a performance shop before the dealership. They knew exactly what kind of turbo it was and he said hes installed a few of them. They said they got everything hooked up they just need that one coupler then they can run it up
yup they gaurantee under 500....and they ordered all new gaskets for it aswell
see now i was thinking Dealership no way they will charge an arm and a leg...i called and they called back quoting 450. later talked to the installer and was like are you serious he said yea ill do it for 450

holy crap, thats dirt cheap. my dealership wanted 1100 just to install my clutch, they probably would want the same for the turbo since the time involved is about the same...good deal man.
Hopefully the dealership can figure something out. The installer is gonna check out his shop he used to work at he says they had a bunch of couplers layin around. We shall see
theres nothing wrong with it.... understanding that its possible for warrenty stuff it could mean voiding your warrenty if you have one but just because its a dealership doesnt mean theres nothing but crap techs there. i know plenty of awesome techs that work in a multitude of dealerships and do a ton of aftermarket work in and out of them.
a good dealership will back their work too regardless if the parts are aftermarket or oem. if they gave you a good price go for it.
as far as your issue have them figure out what size coupler is needed and order a longer one from vibrant or any company that can supply different lengths. get one longer then needed and trim to fit. make sure your turbos clocked right too.
