Any benefit to using this the engine or fuel one with a di motor? Not having any problems but figure it couldn't hurt. Figure the fuel one wouldn't do much but what about the engine one that mixes with the oil?
Without having the money to test 2 engines on the same engine dyno its hard to say if it actually makes a difference. And I'm meaning a full engine build taking down clearances and weights of internal parts then a tear down and re-recording the data
yeah we are talking about the race track now. No one cares about that fuel cleaner thing.
Ha, this is why I love this forum. Helpful responses as usual, I'm done with this site. I wasn't trying to save fuel, was just looking for added engine protection.
Use quality gas and quality oil. Change at proper intervals. If you are running an LNF, make sure to clean your intake valves every few years and protect them with Powell oil seprator.
That's it. Don't add fuel or oil additives. Fuel additives don't do **** for our cars.

you got helpful responses. its good advice to stay away from gimmick additives. There isn't too much solid info on them because most people don't take them seriously enough to do solid tests, because they simply arent worth it. Just use good oil and gas and upkeep on your car and you will be fine.
Zmax reminds me of Slick 50. Anyone remember that? Pouring Teflon into your engine makes it indestructible blah blah blah lol.
Feel free to "read up" on engine additives. If any product really was that great, you would see everyone ranting and raving about it. It would be sold out on shelves everywhere.

“The Federal Trade Commission filed suit in a U.S. District Court that sought to halt false and misleading advertising for zMax auto additives and which asked the court to order refunds to consumers who bought the products. The agency alleged that enhanced performance claims for the product were unsubstantiated, that tests cited to support performance claims actually demonstrated that motor oil treated with zMax produced more than twice as much bearing corrosion than motor oil alone, and that the three different products - an engine additive, a fuel line additive and a transmission additive - were all actually mineral oil tinted with food colouring.”
