ZZP canned tune or GMS1

I've read though the tunes section, ZZP and gms1 look the most attractive to me.

ZZP plug and play and price seems great especially with my skill level and current budget plus the option to keep my stock ecu is nice. GMS1 warranty retainer seems good too and great gains too. Mods seem compatible with both, but zzp seems like it offers more for less

My car is completely stock and I want to start with a tune, what do you recommend? Well I have k&n drop in that I'm planning on taking off for a dry dejon sri in the near future.

Trifecta and hptuners seem too complicated for the less savvy such as myself and the other options didn't offer me any reason to shop with them.

$650 was the price for gms1 at my local dealer and ZZP is $475 i believe. Still up in the air on which route.

***sorry this was done on my samsung vibrant at lunch.

Trifecta is actually easy, they ship you a cable and it comes with instructions, pretty much you plug it in to load the base tune then you datalog it and send it to Vince to fine tune and then your good to go

I don't know about that. It seems like a lot of work. Using cruise to make it stock or tuned, possible Winter issues, shipping, emailing waiting for responses, then shipping back. I'd just want something basic. I'm not that savvy either. I'm sure I can but it may have took you 30 mins for me it could take up to a day (just saying hypothetics). But you've intreged me, I'll look more into this

I understand. In that case I would consider GMS1 because you keep the warranty and it is easy just order the kit off of CED and take it to a dealer and there you go. The only downside is it is expensive, with labor and all some have paid close to a grand for less power than Trifecta will bring. It is really easy just call Vince and he will be more than happy to help you and walk you through it.

Who is BYT?

I took extra time looking up trifecta, they do seem good, but winter problems, and other things seem to disuade me from choosing them. On their site they did say it's so easy it's stupid. So with that being said, I feel more confident doing it.

I will look for a trifecta faq when I get home.

With that said, can I get 5 questions answered.

1) Winter. Any issues? Colorado man here.
2) GMS1, then parts then trifecta or start with trifecta then get parts and skip GMS1 or GMS1 then Trifecta then Parts or some other order?
3) My ability to screw stuff up is legendary, what are my chances of messing up?
4) Reliability? I'm not a man in need of a crap load of power, but if I went Trifecta, I'd want something more than GMS1, but have the reliabilty of GMS1. What level should I request?
5) Will I smile after it's installed and I WOT?

Thanks

I have a Dejon SRI for sale in the classifieds if youre interested...

As for the tune, I love my GMS1. The car makes great power, and is real quick.

BYT is no doubt a very good tuner, but to purchace HPT and then have BYT tune the vehicle remotely (email) on top of that can get a little pricey unfortunately. You're talking somewhere in the ballpark of $700 in total. Now if you live within a few hours driving distance of him.. then I'd definitely say by all means hit him up for a tune. You won't be disappointed

Winter issues? Jesus didn't Wal Mart have tampons today? If you have a laptop get the Trifecta cord, upload tune, done. When winter comes you can either turn your cruise on to deactivate the tune,or are you ready for this,Upload your stock tune that is still on your laptop that Vince at Trifecta sends you.It really is simple and cheaper than GMS1
