ZZP catless DP install

Now I'm not like some people and make a step by step list, but it was a fairly easy install. Took alittle over an hour once I had the car in the air and all the tools with me. On the initial start up afterwards it was idling very rough and it kept spitting what looked to be oil out of the exhaust. But I dont believe it was I believe it was the soot from the tip of the exhaust being shot out onto the ground. It idled rough for about 10 minutes and then finally settled down, so I then took it for a trip. Compared to just a muffler delete, at cruising speeds it isnt much louder, but definately noticeable. At WOT it is definately noticeable, but in a good way. I was so scared it was gonna sound like ****, but in the end I'm very happy with the purchase. My Brother said my plugs might need to be changed already, and that could be the reason for a rough idle almost every start up. If anyone knows about this please let me know, thanks!!

Is it getting cold there? From my experience our cars just hate the cold. Below roughly 45-50 degrees.

Glad to see you like the ZZP catless DP. I also recommend the Agency Power Exhaust to you. That's what I have and I absolutely love it! There's a couple other members on here who have heard it and love it as well. It's only 2.5'' but you don't 3'' very bad until you're pushing 400+hp

Today was probably one of the coldest days so far since Summer has come and gone. It's in the low 40's right now I believe, and it's been misting all day pretty much. I dont remember the car idling this rough last Winter, just over the past few months, especially since a certain CEL came on. Where is that Agency Power Exhaust located, and any clips?

What CEL did ya get? I'm not sure where they're located. My friend bought the exhaust not knowing it wasn't 3'' for his 08SS with a GT30 upgrade on it but he couldn't use it so I took it off him. Needless to say he wishes it was on his car

No clips as of yet, sorry. Any chance you'll be at the Ohio meet tomorrow? I have no idea if you're anywhere close or not but I should make it out there.

I cant remember the CEL. My Brother-in-law checked it for me a few weeks ago but I forgot to write it down. I'm gonna check it again tomorrow, and then figure out what it is. I'm down here in Tennessee, and wont make it up there.

Hell it only took me and 2 guys 40 minutes to do all 4 springs on my car!

Yeah my Brother installed his DP on his SRT-4 in about 30 minutes or so, with the help of a lift and air tools. He did say that my DP was way easier than his was though.

Ahhhh, alright. A sound clip really won't do the exhaust justice. It's nice and quiet while at idle and casual driving and makes the turbo pop so, so nicely between shifts. I've never heard it other then in-car at WOT but I've been told it "sounds like sex on wheels", "is amazing", and "sounds bad ass."

Also, have you made your car bark yet with the catless DP? That was so addicting when I first got mine.

What do you mean by bark? I like how it pops alitte bit whenever you're slowing down in a certain gear. I just took mine out for a quick 10 minute ride just to hear how it sounds now.

Next time your out in 2nd gear start around 20mph and give it about 75-100% throttle and when you're boost is around 16-19lbs let off and your car will bark. I warn you it can get quite loud when in an urban area if there's building's for it to bounce off

I'm not worried about any of them, especially the blue/red lights, LOL. I'm a Police Officer myself here in Clarksville, so I know what to and not to do.

Was just about to order... but needed to ask. Does the option 2 need to be taken for our cars? (listed as the wideband bung) didn't think it did... but wanted to make sure I'm ordering it correctly.

I think you only select it if you have a wideband gauge monitoring your car. But I could be wrong.
