I'm anxiously waiting for this as well. My car has a broken IC from hitting an animal and is laid up at a collision center. I've ordered one already, but the shop can't start working on my car till next week.

 

Yea Im in the same boat...my intercooler is cracked and my car has been sitting in my garage waiting for this thing for wks!

 

haha me too animals>our cars. i patched mine (twice) but it has blown the patch out once.

 

My IC is beyond a patch, the end tank busted wide open. I keep checking my email, looking for shipping info. on this IC.

yes but he got the whole turbo kit. isnt that a diff intercooler? or is there ones set aside for the kit? cause the guys who installed that kit even a few months ago, got the zzp intercooler with it, so u cant really go by that.

 

If you buy the turbo upgrade kit, you'll have it more quickly.

 

The freight tracking says the ICs will arrive today. It's awful late in the day to be expecting them to still show up, so I'm at a loss. If I see a freight truck drive past our building, I think I'm going to have to hijack it and then look in the back for our ICs.

 

Credit where credit is due, the IC looks great from the outside. The brackets with some rubber washers should be enough to isolate it from the chassis too. This is definitely on the buy list for me.

Any chance you can take a pic of the inside? I bet an iphone 4 would fit (2.3" wide), and it has a flash.

My car gets me enough tickets with the stock turbo, don't think I'll get the kit. Besides, my wife would probably serve me papers if I did. I just wish I could make it to dyno day and see what #'s it's putting down now. Plus I'd like to see cmiller's car run.

 

We aren't putting kits in front of individual IC orders. They will all ship in order. Chris worked out a deal with Ryan to get a prototype IC.

 

Thats not true. I have been working with them for a while to get one of the first prototype ones.

Well, that is good news. How much are they Matt? I got a $500 Synapse paperweight because it is cracked and I do not want to pay to ship it back just to have one of the welds crack again. Are you using cast end tanks or welded sheet metal ones?

 

They are cast end tanks. Great quality, smooth as butter install.

 

pretty sure they were going to stay at the $399 + shipping price...but dont quote me unless its true...

 

I'm shipping mine back Tom. Its cracked three time so I called they said they not reienforce the sides so its gone to be thicker. So maybe it fix the problem I hope
