$750 Corsa Worth It???
Worth every penny. I have the corsa sport and have no complaints. I get compliments on the sound quite a bit. It has a very distinguished sound.. If you're not wot it's not that loud, just growly. I have had 5-0 follow me and all sorts of stuff and no complaints.
The gains are quite noticeable and if you plan on Stg 2 or a tune, I would highly reccomend this. However with the SC wing and an exhaust like this, you're gonna be a rice magnet. Trust me, every tiburon, cavalier, civic is going to take a shot at the title.... which can get annoying to say the least.
As far as other exhausts, I have seen the gmpp exhaust and it's not guranteed for life and can rust etc (from what I have been told). I wasnt sold on the quality of it.
Another option is what the poster above said, you could go custom and save some money, but you may not get the same gains if the bends arent made correctly etc.

if i were you go with a 2.5" atleast especially if you plan on adding power in the future, gmpp my add 12 hp but youll regret it in the future when you get some more mods and the exhaust is too restrictive 2.25" will not flow how you need it to.
my Corsa is perfect for me noise-wise...I can drive with my wife and baby son in the car and it's not too loud for them--but at the same time, it's been riddled with exhaust leaks (MAJORLY affecting my idle RPM) and it keeps falling apart every few weeks (I have the Eibach Sportlines, so it's a really rough ride around town) -- so I need to have it welded. With stock springs, it was awesome--no problems whatsoever. With Eibachs, the ride's just too harsh--not to mention, car sits so low that the exhaust scrapes everything. rain gutters, driveways, speedbumps, etc. Perhaps that just comes with the territory with a lowered car.
i have an ss/sc and i jus got my exhaust done. basically i excanged all the piping that wasnt 2 1/2 to 2 1/2 and i am running pure resignator at the moment with a dual tip. trust me dude it is loud enough and i feel the difference. $750 is really pricy.
the reason why i am running jus pure resignator is because the basani type exhaust i was going to put on looked and did the exact same fuctions as the resignator. cost me only $150 for everything.

$750 is rediculous for an exhaust. Hell... $400 is rediculous. You can get a muffler shop to fab you a system up for much less... or just lop off the stock muffler and put something else on... the stock system is pretty good as-is.
The only reason I even got the GMPP system was b/c I got rear-ended and the GMPP upgrade was $25 more than replacing the stock exhaust.

first off i got my corsa sport for 660 shipped...so idk where yall are getting this 750... Either way a stage 2 cobalt, with the gmpp and a stage 2 cobalt with the corsa the corsa wins just on the sound of the exhaust, now you get 2 1/2 welded in, corsa still sounds better all my friends have all these options and i wouldnt trade mine for anything in the world
do this its what i did, i wrote turbotech and gravanatuning an email talking to them about how i have done business with them and if they can go any lower for me.. One of them did i forgot who but one of those two and they said 660 shipped is the lowest we can go so i did it... Do yoru looking i found some for 620 shipped
I got the corsa from the CED Group Purchase...I think it was like...650 shipped or something like that.
I love the exhaust...soon as i got it on, I loved the sound (a bit loud but I got used to it), and i loved the performance I felt from it.
IMO, if you can find one for like 600-650, go for it...it's a great exhaust.
PS. I think it's time for CED to have another corsa exhaust GB

Correction the Corsa is not mandrel bent, they use high pressure fluids to custom form this exhaust, which allows for bends and curves not possible with a mandrel bend. Its basically the same technology used to create hi end 2 stoke exhausts / boat exhausts. It costs a bit more to manufacture... but you will never replicate a corsa exhaust with a mandrel bent system... cause the corsa sport aint mandrel bent. Thats just another reason why I went with this exhaust. The money wasnt a big deal.
Oh yeah did I mention that I now burn 8.4L/100KM when before the corsa I was at 9.6L/100KM....

More flow = engine works less. Thats why you should care about the 'bends'.
Doesnt matter what car you drive the goal is always the same. Since the exhaust is more of a supporting mod, that little extra flow will pay off on other mods made to the engine etc. I understand why some would balk on this purchase though, but the $ to one person may not be as expensive to another.
As mentioned, you dont have to pay 700$ either
