06 LSJ, Time to start planning upgrades
Some of you know my name from the various dumb issues ive had with my 06 Balt, which as of making this post just 2 weeks ago got new ZZP axles as my OEM passenger side decided to grenade itself, Im ready to start planning WHAT to actually do to this thing to get some more power.
FOR STARTERS: I Keep looking at ZZP's starter turbo swap package, but i dont really want to drop $1900 into a car ive already got almost 5K in that NEEDS painted...So for now ill stick to the stock M62..But the entry swap looks so good, over 300HP easy
I Have spent hours studying The Official Dyno Thread 2015 and on pump gas, no water meth, it does seem about 270HP is my limit. The cars already going to get a FULL exhaust as every single bit of the factory is trashed, smashed and destroyed. ITS BAD
Is a pully, intake, tune (ZZP or custom?) 60 injectors and possibly dual pass / bigger heat exchanger all it takes for a stock blower LSJ? Are there more secret tricks to an M62 built that i should know or is it that simple?

The M62 is limited so before too long any money you spend on it will seem wasted when you decide it’s not enough.
You're in Ohio - what part and where's the nearest E85 station? E85, injectors, pulley, tune, exhaust, cooling mods and you can get real close to 300whp.
Factory intake actually flows really well, just need to modify the air box.
And you can turbocharge the car fairly cheaply - especially after you sell off the S/C kit.

I Have thought about selling off the M62 if i go the swap route. Cant imagine an M62 being worth more then maybe 350
Dont worry, last owner cut the **** out of my OEM airbox and the bottom was full of mud and the filter was completely covered in mud because he cut the fender liner. RockAuto got me a new filter and fender liner
Question for you, ive seen your threads and YouTube videos on your swap, With that much power how does the car grip? i dont have an LSD, and i dont want to be in 3rd gear just spinning

Check your local Kroger - that's where I get mine. I can't remember if they were the ones that had the pumps when I lived in NW Ohio.
Car grips fine. It spins through second, but still rolls out while it spins. Nothing but grip in third and beyond. Most people that I see complaining about grip are running cheap all-season tires. You have to get good tires.

For tires i have Cooper Zeon RS3-G1's on all 4. You think those are good for big power? or should i upgrade
I worked as a tire builder for Cooper for 5 years. Nothing they make anymore is really sufficient for big power. 300-350hp isn't crazy power though, so I'm sure they'll get the job done. With that said, you're probably running the OE width and that's not going to do you any favors either.
Either way, I'd make the power first and worry about the wheels/tires after that.
