cut mine down to 10 inches, grinded the metal so i could put the ball on and it works just fine

get an antenna from a honda element or s2000 and cut the male threads off, re-tap and apply. looks sweet.

i am about to order the surostyle for my blue 2.4 cobalt. the pic of the red ss/sc on the website (http://www.antennax.com/ and click on chevy ont he left)do you have a pic of your billet on your cobalt?

i dont know which one now....
