1.6L Blower Interest
don't worry you'll be able to get a good usage from the tvs. just make sure you sell it right before the 1.6L comes out or else you'll take a huge hit on it
nope goin active. hopefully hit E4 before my 3 years are up sicne i'm going in as an E2. then getting a degree and reenlisting as a CO

I said they should do a 1.6 when they were doing the 1.2, since hondas have the 1.6 (350+ @ 16psi) option
http://www.redshiftmotorsports.com/R...erchargers.htm
I believe that the 1.6 would get 400+ with ease since my reenginered and upgraded RAW Lysholm 1200AX kit is pumping out close to Areas numbers the 1.6 would be sick! When I get my new clutch in and ported head I will post up my dyno to prove how sick a twinscrew powerband is.

also not a thread of which is better blown or turbo.. some prefer one or the other.. this is for gaining interest in people that love the powerband of a blower and understand their needs/wants of what they want to do and want to stay supercharged while having the option of making a lot of power
we can always argue that one way may be cheaper for more peak power.. but this isnt for that

on the test car.. shooting for the next few weeks for it to be on.. but no promises
when it does get on.. there will updates, opinions, possibly numbers
gotta see how it reacts

My point was that if that is the link to the shop and that is a possible price point (or anywhere near it) then the market isn't here for it. You said it'd be a bit north of the 1320. The 1320 is ~$2,200 again now...
I'm supercharged, and will remain that way so I was not starting a he said she said thing.

I'd love to see it come to market, though i (obviously) wont be buying one. It's something i always wanted for my balt when i had her

i wasnt tryin to jump at ya tom tom
(if anyone has anything insightful about this like an equation i'd be quite interested)
I mean ****, why not just throw the tvs 2300 on there if not for size limitations
also, i've read that turbos' efficiency grows with size since airflow grows at a rate larger than frictional loss and a lot of other stuff that goes straight over my head
Anybody have any info on this regarding positive displacement superchargers
not to be pessimistic but the cobalt community has seen a lot of "innovations" that produced less than expected results.
you just gotta read some compressor maps. Ideally, you want a blower that will put you in its efficiency range. you may have a blower that is big enough so that you never get the airflow numbers that are in its efficency range, but you still have the increased parasitic loss of spinning a much larger blower.
Its fairly application specific unless you're talking about bolting it to a stock ss/sc

sounds like a good idea...i just finished my clutch install and will be startingmy engine build...depending on the actual cost, i may go for a 1.6l over the tvs im planning on..hopefully all goes well for ya
