1.6L Blower Interest

Just to be clear.. this is not a thread in which someone needs money donations or down payments to make something happen

this is a thread to gain interest and to see who would be interested in a 1.6L Twin screw blower..

this isnt a fantasy either.. in the next few weeks this will be on one of our cars

There are already blowers that have been made and purchased and are currently ready for testing on the car

the pirce will be a bit north of the Harrop TVS 1320 in the end but with a list of interest.. the 1.6L can be sped up through other sponsors.. again.. nothing out of your pocket.. just an interest poll

thanx

any comments are always welcome

I wish.

I'll tell you what, I'll be gone all of June..you take my car, do what you want, as long as it's running when I get back, and it's free.

I would say go for it. With the huge gains we got from the TVS and the potential we saw with it, I would definitely like to see what could happen with a 1.6L twin screw. You have my vote

No, this is why. Sure everybody will be like hell yeah at first then they will flake out. why? marjority of cobalt owner are cheap and dont like to "pay to play"

Just look at how long for TVS's to come out. it was rare til OTTP did thier group buy deal sometime last year i think.

anyways am not saying you can't but i doubt it will happen

i definitely hear you there.. the TVS had a hard time selling at first.. thats why i was sure to post up that its not a donation thread.. but ur right.. only the right people that are willing to pay will be able to get it

Also with the money situation.. The blower is coming out whether people are going to pay for it right in the beginning or not.. a private shop started this.. ( not the small one down the road from you ) and it will be coming out... with more interest being shown.. it can be brought to the public quicker

^ I agree with this statement but still would like to see the concept come out, I would be interested in seeing what kind of gains would come from this. And who knows what if its able to produce massive gains far surpassing the TVS. One of the reasons everyone didn't jump on the TVS automatically was because though more complicated, a turbo swap netted more gains so many swayed that way plus the potential was still unknown for the TVS. Imagine if you could have the ease of installation found with upgrading to the TVS but with the gains of a turbo swap. That's something I would like to see.

I'm in for research purposes. I like to learn more about the options out there for our cars, before I go throw down cash on something that may or may not work. I always pay to play, because I only allow the best parts on my car.

i've basically come to the conclusion that if you want something new to surface with cobalts. you gotta do it yourself. glas i'm not the only one who sees this. when i get out of AIT school i'm gonna try and make a 100% cf lip, and other parts that people want but no one wants to pay for till its made. haha

I'm interested but honestly, I wouldn't be putting any money down until I see what the 1.6 could do. I'm sure that goes for a lot of people here too.

But I've really wanted to see a twinscrew on our cars so I have high hopes!!

Hell, a 1.3L Twin screw would would put down better numbers than the tvs... so, so long as the 1.6 isn't too big, it should be impressive

*bump* for compressor manufacturer?

Lovin it!!! Only think I'm not loving is it's barely been on for 2 months and people are talking about the Magnuson TVS1900's and 1.6L twinscrews If I didn't just get the TVS on there I'd be first in line for the 1.6. I really wanna see what it can do

If you aren't going reserves, good luck finding time to do that.
