12.37 w/ turbo swap on rough tune

times were:

.8951 reaction
2.3948 60'
5.6807 330'
7.7809 594'
8.2508 1/8 @ 95.76mph
12.3728 1/4 @ 115.11mph

364whp on dynojet

using cometic head gasket, mahle 8.5:1, turbonetics gt-k 450 (bleeding off at 22~psi right now, will be cranking it up once the tune is good) and almost everything else stock except the supporting turbo equipment needed.

this is on a rough tune, since it's the first turbo my dad's shop has done, we're having some issues with the bogging on the bottom end (pretty bad) we're trying get one of the local shops that do alot of turbos to come help us with it this weekend with the tune. it is very capable of high 11's and traps of around 125~ if we can get the damn thing to stop giving us issues around 2000-2500 rpm. whatever it is i'm sure it's to do with our tune.

look for some slips in the low 11's if we hook up the bottle

Too low compression and no boost due to turbo I'd guess.

Hmmm...that must be selfinfliction because there is a similar thread on the RL forums :

i'll post up a scan of the timeslip tomorrow when i can get to a scanner, but my times were:

.8951 reaction <edited for correct reaction time>
2.3948 60'
5.6807 330'
7.7809 594'
8.2508 1/8 @ 95.76mph
12.3728 1/4 @ 115.11mph

our biggest issue today was getting the damn thing off the line, once we get all of the bugs worked out we expect it to be in the high 11's and on the bottle we are shooting for 11 flat.

IDK this smells fishy...technically, turbo balt never said it was a cobalt....yet, why would you have the user name turbo BALT?

I just remembered he had a red SS/SC. I remember because I saw his tutorial on installing a methanol kit and saw pictures way back when.....unless he got rid of it and has an RL now?

While the IP used isn't associated with self infliction it is linked to his account once removed. It's either him or a buddy.

damn almost a 2.4 60' and im presuming your on slicks too.
sounds to me like that thing isnt even close to its potential once you get it all sorted away.

I can see much faster times coming from that car.
