Custom is always better. and cheaper. At least around where I am. Just buy any muffler you like and a high flow cat/ resonator if you want one.. could even reuse the stock one if you want something a little quieter, and hand it to him. Some exhaust shops don't like that some will make you buy through them, but not all. Just my personl opinion

Unless you go turbo or TVS 2.5" is best IMO. And for the little bit extra go OTTP stage 2 haha

Why not just go mandrel exhausts? Use with their magnaflow, or get a different muffler (what i choose to do)

i have one of these, when i got mine it said 2.5 ...but i measured it to be around 2.35
umm mated to my catless dp, it's FREAKING LOUD.... quality seems good though...

I am going to go get the fart cannon cut off and weld on an extra resonator and my other muffler.
try to get it quieted down some..

oh and when i say its loud........it makes my ears ring!!! it's really freaking loud!

not entirely true. there are alot of exhaust shops that don't have mandrel bender's and will put crush bend's in the exhaust piping. THIS IS BAD for exhaust flow. if i have to explain y then some research on exhaust flow may be in order. if you do decide to take it to a shop and have them put in a "custom" exhaust, make sure they can mandrel bend it for you, or your'e pissing in the wind (from a performance aspect)

the reason that has a "proven deep rumble" on the wrx forum, is because it's on a turbo car.

fart cans sound like fart cans no matter what car they're on UNLESS you have a turbo.

it won't do any good to explain it... i spoke with a borla engineer specifically on why they did a 2.25" exhaust, and when i posted what he told me... and this is a freaking borla engineer, not some parts guy or helpdesk clerk, people here just said he was wrong

that's nonsense. as was stated, maybe on a basically stock car a 2.25 would be optimal when compared to 2.5. but with pretty much any modified engine, a 2.5 is going to outflow and outperform a 2.25 any day of the week. period.
