2.0 Almost stock Dyno

Well there was a good turn-out today at Cozzilino Motorsports and I was all set to get a baseline dyno for my car. My only mod as of now is the gmpp manifold. I was very pleased with the numbers and very dissapointed in the factory tune. Take a look at that AFR it dips down BELOW 10!!!!!!! makes me wonder what could be had with a little tweaking. I was there with a bunch of my Diesel friends and my buddies 99' Dodge 2500 4X4 Cummins put out a healthy 570 HP and 900 FT. LBS. I should have some videos within the next week my engine jumps a damn mile in the bay. Def gonna be needing some mounts!!!!

My results: 221 HP and 186 Ft. lbs.

The dyno...... its kind of faint but you can see the lines.

Nice baseline, you should be able to make some power with that

just the exhaust manifold soon to come: Stage 2, GMPP catback, and putting my AEM intake back on. Eventually: HP tuners

I bet you can get close with the hptuners, I'm at 244hp with all your mods, except on the stg2 tune

Do you have the GMPP manifold too? I know its not much but it wtill will help and when your trying to get from 244 to 260 5hp is a lot. plus Warranty FTW!!!

Yeah, I am considering all of my choices right now with the manifold/header/downpipe stuff. The manifold sounds nice because you get around 6hp and 5tq ( so I hear), but you keep that precious low end power because of the smaller outlet.

I just wonder which downpipe would be the best choice with the manifold and the GMPP catback....

yah thats something Ive been thinking about too it doesnt really make sense to upgrade two parts of the the exhaust but not the piece in between. But then it would be the only piece not GM, which isnt a big deal but can save some hassle. Ill prolly give in and just get a DP eventually because it really cant do any harm, its just a piece of connecting pipe after all.

Yeah, way I see it is I'll put a DP on, and if for some reason in the long run something goes stupid, I'll just swap the original back on to see if it fixes it
I dont think changing the downpipe could mess anything up, at all, anyways.

Yeah, I need to dyno my current setup to see what it puts down. I ran at the 1/8 mile track here today, and was trapping 79.9 mph, so its got some decent power. Track prep was shitty though, times sucked. I showed 217 stock, 221 with the GMPP cat-back, and about 235 with stage 2, intake and cat back. Havent dynoed since then.

No need for HP Tuners. I bet I am already there. If not, then I'll just need a header and I should be good to go.

Yah ive commented on some of the other threads youve been in as having the same noise as you. Did you ever get to your friends shop to look at it? Ive watched my dyno video and you cannot hear the noise at all. Weird...........
