2.0 Exhaust Qustion

Sorry, it's another thread about exhaust. Here is my story...I want to eventually get a full exhaust, as GM as possible. I'm thinking about getting just the Cat Back now and installing that. Then down the road, I was thinking of getting the Cat-up and installing it then (header, downpipe, and cat).

What would you do if you didn't want to spend all the money right away? Would you just wait to get it all at one time? Or, would you do it in pieces like I'm thinking?

what you should do is buy the header/downpipe and then have you local muffler shop fab you a exhaust using ur stock tip, so that gm will think its the original exhaust and it wont void the warranty!!! just my 2 cents and it will be cheap as hell

I wouldnt worry about the warranty going bad with an exhuast, bcause if anyhthing messes up they have to prove that the reason it messed up is becuase of the part u modded and most dealrships dont care about an exhuast.

I have the DC Sports cat-back on my car that **** sounds pretty damn nast, its a lil loud, but only when WOT. Price at Cobalt-Addiction is on $389.99 + shipping.

Go with gmpp, good quality, and gm will warranty the exhaust as long as its dealer installed.

I have the GMPP Manifold, Hahn Racecraft downpipe and GMPP cat-back, and its pretty sick.

I am assuming that you are talking about replacing the 2.25 section of the the exhaust before the rear axle back. This is what I would recommend and cap it off with a magnaflow muffler part # 12256 and use the stock tip. I found the muffler for $61 and a local shop said they would put the hole thing together with mandrel bends for $50. $110 for a great cat-back, not bad. IMO i wouldn't waste any money on the other cat backs when you pretty much have one that just needs to be tweaked and will perform just as good as any other 2.5" cat-back out there hands down.
