2.0 Turbo or TwinScrew Question

I have limited experiance with either. My question would be to the experianced guys on the forum. Considering the fact that a good turbo and twin screw set-up will be similar in cost, which one will give a guy the least amount of headaches down the road. Which would be the better value as far as power vs. ease of maintence vs. daily driven vs. cost goes?

I will be getting one or the other this winter once final numbers are up for both and once they are being sold from a vendor.

well if you get a turbo as far as i know you need a full exhaust change and personally man i

always loved the supercharger... even tho instant hp=enemy of FWD and your gonna find that

the twinscrew is much more efficient than the stock supercharger allowing you to do a more

aggressive tune however if you really want the high end torque turbo is the way to go

I think we are right on the verge of seeing these kits running and tuned, so I would just wait a little longer to see what shakes out.
I agree that it will all boil down to gains/cost and what kind of power you are looking for. I hope these kits are sorted out soon!

Personally, I'd be more interested in the turbo kits.
Doesn't have the parasitic losses (maybe 20HP) of driving the blower, but nothing is perfect and we'll have to see what each kit actually dynos.
May be more reliable?? I don't know personally but I would expect it to be.

Used to be that a SC had more boost at low/mid rpm, but the LNF shows that turbo technology is getting better and a twinscroll can give as much boost from low to high rpm.

The twinscrew kit should be an easier install and should still have the blower whine.

But again we'll just have to wait and see.

When you motor is built a turbo will be much easier to upgrade in the future.
