I know that with enough money, you can make any car fast. I get that. But can the average turbo 2.2 run with a stock SS/SC? Some kid was telling me he was gunna beat me after he installed his turbo and I was thinking, even if he doubles his crank power he would be at what....280?? I want to be arrogant and tell him no way cause I am not even close to stock.....but I would rather him drop 3 grand on a turbo and not know what the **** happened

well hes probably sitting arround 260 now. he has added parts since the dyno (says stage 2 w/ intake only)

it all depends on what kinda of boost hes gonna be pushing. My friend boosted his 1989 integra. 6 lbs I busted his ass bad, 8 lbs I still busted his ass. If he got 12, then I would probably need to be worried.

 

the 2.2 turbo will keep up with a 2.0....it might most likely wont beat it but it will keep up fairly close

I was saying I don't really think that he will have 280 crank in a 2.2 .... but even if he did, Wouldn't I still walk him? I should be sitting around 260-270 whp.

turn up the boost and you get more power

 

I guess 210-215 would be a reasonable expectation of a turbo 2.2. Just speculating

I thought most in stock kit form barely hit ~205whp I think most I have seen around have been Auto 4 doors aswell.

 

i ran 14.0 with 6psi untuned and i beat stock ss/sc havent raced a modded one yet but soon as i get tuned for 10psi im sure it wont be a problem beating one ...

 

my buddy with a 2.2 cavi just put down 295whp on stock internals and a conserative tune with the same hahn turbo kit available for the balts.

 

Stock SS/SC hp and a 10 to 20 ft/lbs more then stock SS/SC torque.
