Well 2.5" can get you to 300 but 3" can support it better and anything under 300 hp is killing the low end by running 3".

thanks for all the input.. I'm thinkin a 300hp balt is pretty bad! I'm not looking for 300 horses I just wanted to know about the exhaust dealio.. just a random question...

What have you guys found to be the best Launch rpm given whats on my car (not being alot) no resonator, aftermarket muffler, ingalls torque damper, and Injen cai. because this car will NOT hook up

I think the point people are missing is that the difference between a 2.5" or 3.0" exhaust system isn't going to somehow keep you from reaching 300 HP if that's what you are aiming for.

It's simple. If Cobalt SS/SC < 300whp then 2.5". If Cobalt SS/SC > or = 300whp then 3.0". Just do it or SUFFER!

For the forum n00b I will explain this (NJHK). If Cobalt SS/SC has less than 300whp then 2.5". If Cobalt SS/SC has greater than or equal to 300whp then 3.0". Just do it or SUFFER!
