Talking 2.4 pistions on 2.0 rods???

so guys ive got a block that needs to be bored out does anyone know it if can bore my lsj block to the 88mm bore as the 2.4 has and just buy forged 2.4 pistons instead of having pistons made, and attatching them to 2.0 lsj or lnf rods with 2nd gen oil squirters?
MY BLOck HAS DARTON SLEEVEs AND BLOCK GUARD so m trying to not put a stock motor back in....... we trashed stock pistons that why it needs to be bored out lol
ive looking into buying a new lsj
ive looked into buying a b207r
looked into ned sleeved again but dont really want do that lol there expensive
im stuck on what way to go

i really wanna know if i could use forged 2.4 pistons on 2.0 rods/ block bored to 88mm since i have block guard and sleeves.
has anyone done this or should i send it for everyone else lol and see what happens lol

I know with stock sleeves anyway you can't bore them out anywhere close to that amount. You need to find out, probably from Darton, how much their sleeves can actually be bored out safely and go from there. If you are allowed enough to correct for the damage then you can get custom pistons to match. I just looked on https://www.turbotechracing.com/prod...dcategory=5616 and you can get 86.5mm or even the 88mm pistons for the 2.0 rods.

Pretty sure the 2.4 pistons would not work in any case with the 2.0 rods. The 2.4 engine has bigger bore as well as significantly longer stroke (98 mm vs. 86mm) and I'm pretty sure different length rods. I don't think the pin offset to top of piston would be right for the rods in your engine.

2.4 has a different wrist pin size and different compression height. You need oversize pistons meant for a 2.0. I think zzperformance sells them.

JD, are you using an LE5 block? I know you talked about when you did your build thread.
