I don't think so, but don't take my word on it. I have the 2.9 and didn't have to buy a tensioner.

you should be seeing about 18psi, and i would at least get a CAI. i am installing my stage 2 and ca 2.79 pulley tommarrow, but i am more worried about going lean or over working the injectors.

and the OP should be as well. 2.9" is the lowest you can safely go on a stage 2 tune and injectors with no other mods (exhaust, meth, tuning, etc)
and an aftermarket intake will do nothing to cool your IAT. our cars come stock with a CAI. all you will accomplish with an aftermarket one is slightly more airflow and a louder whine from the s/c.

Blown07: you dont need more cooling mods to run that pulley, but they will help.

The lowest I would go is 2.9 on a GM stage 2 tune. Below that, the injectors get a little crazy past 6k rpm. I would at least get tuned if your putting that pulley on there.

I have the 2.79 with just the stage 2 tune, full bolt ons and spraying the 125cc of meth, untuned and love it...but am going to be getting tuned soon. and get the other cooling mods.

oh, and no you do not need a tensioner. Just the stage 2 belt.

you should get a tune for running meth, but dont run a water/meth tune without spraying it. the car acted like it was "running rich" when you sprayed it, hence why a good meth tune will add a lil more timing and lean out the commanded afr.

activating the kit with a push button will technically work, but only if you can manage to activate/deactivate it at the correct time. much much easier/safer to get it on a boost activated switch, if not a progressive maf controlled switch.
Area47 can provide more details on w/i

go with a pulley from nate there the best light and great looking i got a 2.9 on and i love it...and a CAI will not change IAT's but itll give a little more umph and makes the supercharger whine to the moon

Man I buy the 2.8 pulley from zzp performance and when i installed my belt slip and broke one of the lines. And now i need the adjustable tensioner from zzp performance and another 70 bucks belt...
I recommend the tensioner.
And my question is how much boost is the 2.8 pulley???

ok guys i need some help also. I got my 2.85in pulley today from Nate and i went to install it. I used anamoulus' method with the crow bar which works perfectly but the blue bolts from my stage 2 are waaay to over tightened.so i tried to position the crow bar to stop the pulley from slipping so i can unbolt the blue bolts and the ratchet slipped and the pulley didnt move and i pretty much stripped one of the blue bolts. what do i do now??
