cti headers, xtc catless dp, megan catback, 2.9 pulley, 42lb and 7k rev limit and im hittn 17psi at 6.5k. but im at sea level

yeah my car for some reason hauls ass for a 2.9. i took a modded 06 body sti from 20 last night and i started in 2nd. like i straight up pulled on him from the start haha. and hes the one who started the honks so i know he wanted to race

I used to get 16.87psi with my 2.85, but i had 3in catback and stock piping b4 that. Now i have a 2.9 and i get a max of 15.5psi on a good day. Now i have full 3" piping from header back, dualpass, S3 h/e and new tune.


Either u didnt notice the change after u added a part or u have a seal or gasket bent or leaking barely enough to see it on ur cars idle or interceptor. I think thats what my problem is, my IM gasket got bent slightly and re-installed it and i think its leaking enough to leak boost out that my car cant recognize it.

At around 4000-5000ft I could only run 15-15.5 psi on a 2.8. Now at 2000-3000ft I hit 16.5 psi. Perfect conditions you run 17 psi tops on a 2.8. I did all of this on 42s as well, 96% IDC you just have to get things leaned out and adjust PE.

im wondering if i should switch to a 2.8...or if it would even be worth it... i mean i have basically the same mods as you but just have an exhaust and opt b.

This car has come a long way since your buddy owned it. did he say anything about it when you showed him the pics or told him about it?

matt is waiting to see how my car acts in HOM but i need to find some 100 octane or get my meth kit

lol ya he kinda got depressed about it lol. whats HOM? and whats the diffrence between the stage3 tune? i now u have the option of nos, but thats all i got out of it.

oooooooooooo that makes since lol....i was reading the gm stage3. so the new options are you can adjust your rev limiter, 50 shot of NOS, and u can switch from a 100 octane mode. so is E85 a 100 octane?

ahah no e85 is corn gas lol. 100+ octane is 8+ to the gallon at the shell gas stations

i dont think he has a tvs but im pretty close to 15 at low rpm. i can hit 14 at 2500 in a 5th gear punch from 60 haha
