Right now i have stage 2, would it be worth it to go to a 2.8 pulley? would i need to retune the car? could i use the same stage 2 belts? im lookin for a little more acceleration. pros and cons guys! thanks!

2.8
Pros, More power.
Cons, More heat, Shorter engine life, Injectors going static and car stalling the list goes on forever, Some poeple have been fine running a 2.8 on stage 2 other have blown motors doing i it, Problem is the injectors arnt big enough.

If you want to keep you stage 2 tune and everything i would go with a 2.9.

If you really want a 2.8 you will need 60lb injectors, Injector harness, And a retune

you dont need a pulley. you need cooling mods and fuel. stage 2 pulley is enough to get you low 13's, with perfect conditions, a 12

Listen To hatrickstu, His is currently the fastest stock blower car,

I would do OTT's new heat exchanger, Get some 60lb injectors, 2,8 and a tune.

If you want to leave your GM tune, Then just get a heat exchanger and practice your launches Driver mod>all

if you go to a 2.8 you will most definately need a retune. BUT!! go with 60lb injectors & wiring harness w/ 2 step colder plugs. a 2.8 pulley will completely max our your 42.5lb injectors and things could go wrong. and then go to Tune Time Performance (i see your in NJ) they are located in Toms River, they can dyno tune you. also you should definately look into getting a heat exchanger, dual pass w/ option b & maybe meth injection. that all together will give you an amazing increase in power, enough to make you crap yourself.

if you want to be quicker. get full exhaust, a cooling mod or two. then go 60's and a pulley. thats all ive got as far as power and im going 113.xx occasionally in the 1/4

i've got the gmpp sports exhuast, so ur sayin i should go with a header and dp, maybe a head exhanger for now.. and then if i want more power later go with the 60 pound injectors, smaller 2.8 pulley

You got it... Except i would ditch the GMP exhaust and get a CTI 3" if you do the 2.8

yes, but a 2.25 exhaust isnt flowing enough for an efficient 2.8 setup

just sell your stage2 setup, keep the belt. replace it with a 2.8, 60s, dp with a highflow cat, catback, intake, and h/e. and thena tune of course
