i actually did this big search last night on who was really blowing thier motors.

Seems like its the guys who have the 60lb injectors and custom tuning, Seems like the pulley sizes went from 2.9-2.5, so its the tuning IMO, not the pulley (IN MOST CASES)

Alot of these guys were also on INTENSE tunes might i add, none of this info should suprise anyone tho lol

Ok some people can run a 2.85 pully on stage 2 42lb injectors some cant it depends where at sea level you are so one person close to sea level can and one that is far away from sea level cant so just because you cant run it where you live someone 2,000 miles from you can just my opinion

I'm finishing off my exhaust soon so I have to go get the tune fiddled with a little bit. All in all, it runs strong but I think he has it bleeding off too much boost in 1st and 2nd. The cams shifted my powerband up a little so I think it'll be fine if he gives me some of that boost back. I don't have much till 4K in 1st and 2nd. Almost feels like I'm driving a turbo car; the way it slams you back in your seat when it hits...

So then what is the general thought, A 2.85 on a stage2 isnt such a bad thing? Im not at sea level, but not in the mountains either. Not sure what my elevation is to be honest. (northeast AL). I was thinking of a 2.85 after I get my exhaust this week. Or I might wait till i get the dp also.

@ Area...^^^

Now, for you, I wouldn't just slap on a 2.85" pulley and call it a day. Are you having it custom tuned for your setup and location? If not, I wouldn't recommend it. The 42lbs/hr injectors should be good enough for 300 whp since our system flows more psi than that (62ish?). But the only reason I'm risking it is that I had it professionally tuned by someone who knows what they're doing. If you don't hook your **** up to HPT w/ an AFR gauge and log the hell out of it, how the hell will you know what it's doing with that modification? Intakes and exhaust are one thing, but if you're increasing airflow on that level, you should take the appropriate steps to adjust your PCM calibration for it...
