Didn't have any way to moniter the IAT2's but it does get pretty hot down here. lol
I would at least get a heat exchanger or a meth kit with a 3 gph knozzle.

I would get an extra h/e before getting dual pass.

Im running 2.8.. im doing fine..

look at it like this...

stage 2 tune is very rich, pushing more air into the engine (smaller pulley) will lean out the AFR, thus making less stress on your injectors (cause they dont need to use as much fuel)... get it?

About the cooling mods... id say it would be safe to get the 2.8... and just dont "race" it every second... do a run or two.. let cool (dont turn off the car though)... keep driving... couple runs.. give break... so on..

thats actually false cause the ecu is still going to command the same afr so it will just adjust for the added air and max out the injectors

True... for some reason i completely forgot that it did that... Sorry...

But for the most part... if you got your car tuned... you can do as i stated and get a little more security out of it..

yea a tune with meth would be the best idea to run the 2.85 or just put the stage 2 pulley back on

I wouldn't go any smaller than a 2.9 on Stage 2. Im running a Stage 3 GM pulley (2.99). I would def get another HE and the dual pass before you put that pulley on there...

2.85 with no cooling mods = garbage performance and lots of heat.

Stage 2 tune = garbage.

My opinions.

It will probably be NOT GOOD in Georgia...but run it and check your temps. As long as you're not over 175 after a couple of wot runs it should be fine. You will max out your injectors before redline but the intake temperatures are more important.

Disclaimer: I ran a 2.8 on a daily driver for a year and a half without any problems. I run a 2.9 now.

what are temps suposed to be with a stage 2? temp down here is like 98 daily so my temps stay at like 185 while driving and higher in traffic

so do yall think they temp are good? or bad? maybe i should wait to put it on when it gets colder

please get 60's to be safe. and cooling mods are a must if you want your car to last.

that number is you engine coolant, your IAT's are probably pretty high, especially on just the stock H/E

get a CX H/E and 60's, tune and you'll be set.

personally, i'm a firm believer in doing each step as a unit, and not installing stuff until every part of the upgrade is ready. you are pushing you injectors right now, but as long as you don't get on it hard , you should be ok.
