No there isn't an ngk-bkr-8e. There is a thread over at the Redline forums where a guy is looking for the same thing you are. He tried a two step colder NGK Iridium plug but got more knock with that plug than the bkr-7e. I assume you are having the same problem.

It wasn't that it was a 2 range colder plug that cause the knock it was because it was an Iridium plug. But NGK only makes a two ranger colder plug in an Iridium. Maybe Autolite makes one.

Going two step colder won't make more knock. The problem I experimented is : Since I run a 2.6" pulley and my timing wasn't optimised, it was causing a lot of knock. In top of that I tried some Denso Iridium Plugs; these plugs requires less energy to spark, causing even more knock because of the unoptimised timing.

I was thinking about getting an AeroForce Interceptor gauge to do that. Have you thought about that?

How did your data logging sessions go? Also, did G Cham log with his 3.15" or 2.9" pulley and what were his results?

doing the data log went very very well we saw some excelent numbers.....we loged G-cham at the 3.1 and mine at the 2.9 both our cars have the same stuff on them....same plugs as well and we never saw ANY!!! knock....0 the whole time the spark advance got down to about 19 a few times for me but thats still about the 15that we were warned about.

the car is pretty maxed at a 2.9/2.8 at least in my eyes

Great to hear. That makes me feel good about putting my 3.15 on without anything else. I went ahead and ordered the Interceptor so that I could keep an eye on things. Now I just got to find time to get the pulley installed.

How is GCHAM doing ? I haven't heard much from him on the redline forums. I am running a 3.15 from billetflow without any supporting mods and I have no trouble at all. The car runs awesome. But just because I like to have the latest and greatest I bought the NGK BKR7E OR WHATEVER THE MODEL NUMBER IS. I will put those on when the damn rain goes away. Also I think I will be dropping to the 3" Pulley since it seems like our fuel injectors can take it. I see consistently 14.5 lbs psi in my car with a 3.15 even though at billetflow they have it marked as 14 for this pulley. Dunno maybe my car is a freak but I doubt it.

i'll install my intercepter gage once i can get a good piller mount....but the TECH2 doesnt lie and thats what we used so i'm very confident with my current setup...but in about a month or so things will change a huge amount....just you waite

So the 2.9 doesn't run you too lean ? I would think at 3" our injectors would be maxed out. I went to put my NGK plugs in today and then the snow storm came.......
