2006 ss/sc
Well I put my truck on autotrader. I'm waiting for the arrival of a turbo SS and a supercharged SS both are basicly the same price but they are being deliverd to the dealership from out of state. Both of the salesman said they will give me a fair price as far as a trade in goes but hopefully someone will buy my truck between now and when the cobalts are deliverd. I'm hoping theyy will come down on the price of the cobalts. The TC SS has 48k miles and they are asking 14900 and the SC SS has 57k miles and they are asking 15900 lol idk how they're pricing works but that is just dumb if u ask me lol
Any other thought or suggestions are always welcome or tips about talking them down. Thanks!

Ahhh ilol I haven't talked to the dealer to see if they will come down on price. When I talked to him on Monday he said that when they get the car in they will give it a 200 point inspection and what not and then they will price it,he said that the 15900 price is what they threw on their website so who knows maybe I will luck out and they will sell it for 11000 lol but I doubt it. The salesman did say that I could text him if I had any questions. I see there's a lot of cobalts on auto trader all around the US going for like 9000 to 13000,should I text him and ask why he's so mich higher vs. The cars on auto trader?
Good point. Ill have to print off a couple from auto trader that are for sale at a dealership and show them how much higher they are vs. Other dealerships
So I received an email from a dealership (2007 cobalt SS non G85 asking 16000 with 35k miles) saying he knocked a few hundred dollars off and asked if we could shake hands on that offer. I emailed him back saying " I can't do that. There's aton of cobalts for sale, for a much better price. Like the cobalt with only 11k miles on it for 14000$ that I passed up"
What a douche! Let's see if he will email me back to lower the price lol

I bought mine in april 2010, 06 S/C with 41k miles with G85(recaros/LSD) package that had no mods at all(BONE STOCK) for 13grand with tax tags n title lol their asking price was 16,900. talked them down to 13,000 and also had all 4stock wheels re-finished. they were pitted and scratched. took me about 3days to get that deal tho
Damn ^^ that's a good deal. Well attleast a lot better than what the dealership is tryin to jerk me around on. Hthe dealership emailed me back and said that there is none for sale around my city that is cheaper. I told him I would drive to florida if it is saving me 4 grand from the pice he is giving me.

Ya, for that price its def worth the gas to shop arround farther out.

Hell yea, that's what I said. I told the salemas that only a fool who knows nothing about cars would buy that car for that price. I told him that I would travel to find a car. And I told him that he's gotta come my way on a trade in too. Cuz I'm not guna get screwed over on this deal. F**k that. I don't car where I gotta go for this car,I'm going to get one lol
Yea,I have thought about it but I don't like the body style, there's one for sale by me with 70kmiles on it for like 7 or 8 grand. I have only owned chevrolet! Lol even then though there basiclly the same car, right?

lol no,thank you. this god damn salesman is a frickin dork,i cant believe he is holding strong at 16000$!! wtf! i betchya the dealer only gave the previous owner 10000$ for trade in. hes f**kin crazy if he thinks im guna settle at that,f**k that! if i knew he was guna pull this s**t i woulda went for the cbalt with 11k miles on it for 14000$
well i found another cobalt. 25kmiles on it for 14800. i emailed the dealership so im sure im guna get a call from them tomorrow or call them and see what i can get out of them for a lower price and what i can get for trade. i dont see racaro stitched into the seat so im assuming its a non G85.
but hey,i feel ahead of the game from emailing that dealership who wants 16000 for their cobalt with 32k miles,so we will see where this brings me with this new found cobalt!!

I went and test drove a cobalt with 25k miles on it,black, non G85 and you woulda thought it had 100k miles on it! It took bumps so god damn hard I didn't know what the deal was. The car had scratches all over the place and they wouldn't drop the price past 14600$ any thoughts from anyone are welcomed
Thanks
Thanks
With the gas price as high as it is, and not going down, these cars are GOLD. You get a great performing and FUN car that is also good on gas. They know if they hold on to that car, at that price, someone will take it.
Yea,you are 100% correct on one. But I've drove cobalts with 8 miles on it and drove cobalts with 70k miles on it. But this cobalt I drove last night with 26k miles on it rode like absolute hell. I know the suspension in cobalt SSm# are a little stiffer for handleing purposes butholy sh*t. That thing rode like death. Any other tips, suggestions are welcome
