I'm not sure Stu, but I think he might have meant that it gets worse each time you let it wheel hop, not better. It's hard to understand what he meant by the way he wrote it, but that's how I understood it. Hopefully you just misunderstood him, otherwise he's a real dummy.

im sorry if im being confusing... let me try again.

I know a bunch of retards. one has an 05 ss/sc. he lets alot of people drive it. him, and the retards he lets drive it actually told me that when the car wheelhops they dont let off the gas, they just keep in it. That was amazingly stupid to me.

I would imagine that the more you wheelhop a car, the worse the wheelhop will get, or it will wheelhop easier. Thats what i meant to say. If you shake all the front end components and the motor mounts so hard like that, i would think they would wear out faster thus allowing wheelhop to be worse/more often.

sorry about the confusion.

to be honest i dont get much wheelhop at all... even at the track, could this be because of the lsd? and now that i have stg 2 and what not it sometimes hops but not very much.. and this is with 2k launches (mind you i dont just mash the gas till im in 2nd but i do launch decently hard)

You basically just restated exactly what I was saying?!? It takes more skill to spin the tires than to get wheel hop, not saying that either is favorable. I think you misunderstood what I was saying or vise versa.

My question to everyone is this: Why do you WANT wheel hop? It does nothing but break things...Wheel hop is also more of a car problem then a driver problem. The best driver's or the worst driver's can get wheel hop, it really depends on the car.

Wheel hop is bad, end of story.

But, spinning the tires can be a good thing...0-60 times are ALWAYS faster with a little wheelspin because it means you are not babying the traction point. Ask Car and Driver how they do their 0-60's and they'll tell you the same thing. It's the whole point of including "5-60mph Street Start times" because these are more respresentative of the p|_|ssy real-world drivers' 0-60 times.

For those of you who throttle through wheel hop, you might as well drive your car off a cliff, because your car deserves a better owner, and the world deserves one less idiot.

i dont exactly know what wheel hop is, from what i understand its when you accelerate hard and the car kinda shakes...like the wheels make the car hop...ive never had that happen in my 07. and ive launched pretty hard before. ive made the wheels sqeel but ive never experienced anything i felt was 'bad'

Well I would say that's a combination of things.

1. You have relatively new tires with good grip.

2. You haven't floored it unecessarily in first gear.

3. Calgary is at an elevation of roughly 3000 ft. above sea level which slightly reduces engine output.

I'm not saying this is for sure the reason, but it's as close as I can come to guessing why you haven't experienced wheel hop, because when it happens you will know it. It will cause the car to shake and you will hear the tires "screeching" on the ground in a choppy manner rather than one solid screech.

Well I know with a rear wheel drive car it can lead to shattering an axel if done enough over time. Wheel hop is no good at all. For rear wheel my lower control arms and upper control arm helped out quit a bit. Do you guys have any suspension parts that might help? Front control arms meybe? Not to familar with front wheel drive.

Just search for wheel hop, or wheel hop solutions, or any combination of words with wheel hop and you'll produce 1,000,000,000 threads on the subject. The Ingalls is okay from what I've heard, but if you really want to put an end to it you need control arm bushings, tranny inserts/mounts, and a solid upper engine mount.

it was an axle , i have zzp solid mounts...if you can hadle your car becoming a gaint vibrator, i also have the ITD , i got that befor the mounts , it helpd with hop on the street but not on the track so much , im gonna get some traction bars and get rid of the solid mounts , or at lest one of them .
but they did help, it only hops if i try and lanch to low like in the beging of this vid , but on the real lanch it just churps alil , there alil hop , but noware near as bad befor the mounts
