250whp

so... with the mods in my sig i put down 243whp and 225tq... what other mods that arent really expensive would put me at the 250whp goal? i was thinking of going with a devils own kit, but mother doesnt seem to approve... for some reason when i told her meth injection she flipped out lol... any suggestions?

well if you are on the stage 2 tune now, I recommend going with 60lbers and a 2.8inch and a tune. A tune alone would get you to 250, on the dyno you are using.

But methanol injection is the safest mod for your car. Just so you know. Meth injection will lower your temps at wot somewhat, and will allow you to run more timing.

another problem with meth is that im going off to college 4 hrs away from here in the middle of nowhere, and i highly doubt i can buy methanol up there... ill have to come home to get some unless i get a big ass tank in my trunk... but then where will my hockey bag go?

i 've seen charts on here that a bigger pulley will work better with your set up till you get a better tune

yeah i know... joe suggested getting meth and it will give him more timing to give me more power... if i get the meth am i going to need to get the 60's? and he quoted me $600 for a basic devils own kit, install, and dyno time to retune it... think thats a decent price?

as far as i know you need 60s

yea but if all your looking for is 250 you can easily get that with a better tune and the right size pulley....now that i think of it that rallicobalt guy..i think he said he was running meth on 42s so maybe

.....methanol is just windshield wiper fluid. Thats almost a 50/50mix too. Just simply buy windshield wiper fluid -20f. Then add a bottle of HEET. You can find these anywhere in the world. Gas stations, autozone, walmart, anywhere.

You want a 50/50mix and you don't need a tune to run it, however you will benefit from a tune.

I am running my aem methanol kit untuned right now.

The point of running meth untuned is to have lower iat2 temps, basically to keep the car cooler, which is why you don't even need methanol at this point. You could and should run straight distilled water.

When you are tuned, run a 50/50 mix of methanol and distilled water and you will be able to increase your timing. The methanol is an increase in octane. Its like having 120 octane gas instead of 93 pump gas.

You do not need a tune to run methanol. Trust me as I and others are doing it now.

his numbers are pretty spot on, just depends on the dyno. In the winter, depending on how cold it gets in your trunk, the water could freeze so keep an eye out for that. Make sure its distilled water.

Get 60s, 2.8 pulley, tune, and cooling mods... and you should hit your goal pretty easily granted it's on the same dyno.

well the winter ill be pretty damn close to iowa... until christmas break... idk how cold Kirksville, MO gets but id imagine colder than STL lol.. i want to install the devils own kit but i need to make sure its reliable... i read about meth and it said its flammable but not as much as gas, which is a plus lol... i just dont think that im going to be able to sell the car down the road with meth and **** on it... its gonna be hard to find a buyer unles i take it off and ****... idk if the type of dyno matters, but it was done on a dynojet... would a bigger heat exchanger and injectors and a smaller pulley put me in a closer range to the 250? what are some other alternatives to hitting or going passed 250whp without meth and nitrous?

Pretty much, I use a gallon of -20* and 2 bottles of Heet. Heet is like 98% methenol, and the washer fluid has about 25~30% methenol, and the rest is mostly water. Just dont use washer fluids with additives in it.

no.
Its more like 105-115 tops, depend alot on your mixture.

But you are right that you dont have to tune for it, but you will gain more if you do.

But does this work with the 100 octane mode in the stage 3 computer??

If you don't tune for the methanol, you can just disconnect it for the winter and keep the tank empty.
