272 Concept

I am not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes my rant.

Took mad picktures in the back corner of the tunersalon at the Philadelphia internatianal auto show this past weekend. I will post them if I got any good ones, it was really dark in there. But anyway, I spoke with the GM guy about y don't they offer any of the aftermarket stuff from the 272 car. he said that most was available from aftermarket companies and just modified a bit to fit the cobalt.

Other then the Hood. Wich is why I chose this section. He said that they had to make it, with the custom airbox and everything to make it truly RAM air, directly into the Supercharger. He said that If we could get enough people to Complain/ Ask for the hood, that GM or GMPP would make it. I don't know exactly where to Complain, but I think I am going to try and Find out. That hood would be sweet. An actual Functional ram air.

What kinds of gains could we expect. Plus it is C/F so we would get the advantage of weight reduction at the same time.

Is anyone else interested in the hood. Is it worth my time to try and find out who we need to talk to/ bother to get this thing made?

On A Side note. The crazy color the car is painted is called something like Metallic Midnight Black Matrix

they're not going to make it, because if you looked closely to it, you will see that the fuseblock was relocated to the passenger's side to make room for the intake system

no surprise they don't offer the color for production models, there was like 80 lbs of metallic flake on it.

Well, I was suggesting a simular color...A SIMULAR color was offered on cavalier's and sunfire's and it looked very nice...

the guy said that the kit is made up from other production parts. and to just look around. he said that they had to make the hood and the exhaust to make it fit.

I didn't get to see under the hood at the show, I didn't know the fusebox was relocated. I would be wiling to relocate it if I could get this hood.

I don't think they ever had a color close to that. the flakes are like .5 inch. and it was called Dark midnight metalic matrix.
Matrix i guess cause if you look at it it looks like the matrix, where all the green binary is. Kinda cool but a bit too crazy for me.

I think that would cause a few problems for a street car. Rain and water would get in there for sure.

like said on another post. the fuse box was relocated. and imagine how much that air induction under the hood would cost from factory. its to much trouble and it doesnt make there car special. i want the body kit but not in carbon fiber

I see what you are saying...I'm just talking about the shade of green...not the metal flake....
