282hp on scanforce does that sound right???

my mods are in sig... my current set up was:

pulley: 2.90
tunning: GM S3
cond: temp 43*, sea level (santa barbara) 3rd gear pull
gas: 91 oct
boost: approx 17-18lbs (sorry didnt log)
no meth

scanforce showed 262,268,272,282,272,282,272 it kept dropping cause i was knocking but a/f was 11.8 across the board so i dont think idc was maxxed but prob really close... anyways does that sound right??? seems a tad high to me in my town it shows const 260-265 but thats at 2500alt... when my meth kit comes v-day and i control knock what do you think it will say then??? my hp scaling on the gauge is at stock it hasent been messed with to read higher...

282 to the crank seems resonable.

Well those numbers im sure are to the wheel. I know for a fact a gm stage 2 made 244WHP so well say you make 250whp on stage 3. now add about 15% back to those numbers for drivetrain loss. that should give you a decent estimate of your BHP. so 282 may not be all that unbelievable.

do you have drivability issues with the 2.6 and 60s like jerky take offs or rough idle... those are some of the reasons im staying away from 60s...

For a long time i had bad idle and what not. But i asked for the assistance of Paul (turbocharged cobalt paul) to give me a hand with the tune. Maybe a week or two later he pointed me in the right direction. And gave me an excellent map i can use with methanol. But as of now, the car on my setup runs perfect.

First off lemme apologize to Hungryhip-ccp for temporarily jacking your thread.

to the ppl who dont believe the numbers. heres the dyno video for your viewing pleasure.

and whos this? oh, its just our local supercharger porter Euthanasia, We just happened to tag along as he got his cars dynoed the same day. heres his 589whp run.

If this isnt enough proof.......bite me.

i was seeing around 272 hp on my aeroforce scan gauge in october. The numbers seem right, with drivetrain loss and what not it'll be around 240 whp. I have comparable mods, but still stage 2 around 70 degrees outside and 15psi.

I see around 272 on my aeroforce with gm stage 2 and gmpp catback only! I have all of my other mods off for the winter, so that sounds about right. I am also getting lots of knock through 3rd gear with the 91 Octane fuel here in Canada.

the only thing those guages are good for....is measuring the relative change in HP after a mod.

like 350hp is way off right.....but if you add a header, and it goes to 370....well that begins to mean something....

the numbers themselves are pretty well just numbers.
