About 2 weeks ago I ran it hard for a while, and one shift into second and it was like the gear wasn't even there. It wouldn't move. RPMS went up and nothing happened but a lot of noise. Let it set for a few to cool down, and it hasn't happened since, but i've heard a lot about the stock clutches and everything heating up and cause those problems if you shift to hard into second.
If it was ur clutch slipping your rpms would shoot up and not your mph... Your rpms are just as slow moving up as the speed.

Not sure what's wrong, but your third gear was pulling dog ass slow too

!st gear you can tune. 2nd gear controls 3rd 4th and 5th as well. You cannot tune 2nd by itself, first is the only gear you can limit individually.

I shifted early and left off going into third since the main goal of this was to show you how slow 2nd was pulling, 3rd doesn't actually pull that slow, lol.

Glad i asked for a video, now i need to get home and look for myself.

As stated before if the clutch was slipping the RPMs would go up and the car would stay the same speed.

Now that sounds like a clutch, however if the clutch is slipping you would notice it in 5th and 4th as well as there is more of a load on it during those gears.

Either way ill wait for the video wheni get home

Any kind of help I could get would be appreciated.
I've ordered the Stage 2 kit from OTTP, Magnaflow exhaust, Intake, heat exchanger, a few other cooling mods, and some small stuff here and there.
I don't know much about superchargers, and what to look for in them.
I just wanted a car you don't see very much for a bit of track and show.
Hell I see Vipers around more than I do these things, and I personally think these SC's look, sound, and run great.
Even with second gear aggravating me I think it feels better, and runs smoother and quicker than my old SRT4.

I chose to have it turned off when I ordered the OTTP stage 2.
I'm assuming everything i'll need to do so will be sent to me?

Wow.... I'm speechless.... there is DEFF something wrong here. But it almost seemed like all BUT 1st gear are bogging. It should be so much more power than that!

Well, i've never driven any other Cobalt, so what could be the problem?
Like I said.
I know little to nothing about these.
Any advice is fine.
Not afraid of a little criticism either.

ok ok i'll try not to be a smart ass (be thankful, cause this happens less than 10 times per year)

so what's the deal exactly with your car, is it completely stock (that you're sure) or does it have a pulley etc? how much boost is it running on the gauge?

<edit> if it is completely stock and running 15 psi it could be your catalytic converter went bad, there's a recall on them from gm for replacement cause they clog up like crazy

It's completely stock as far as I know.
and from what I ever notice it's running 12.
13 if it shakes, haha. so like i said in the middle of 12 - 15.
I use Premium in it.
I treat it good.
I don't dog it around town.
Everything on it SOUNDS good.
Every now and then it will pull harder.
For the most part, 95% of the time, this happens, though.
A friend an I pulled it in and checked everything we could think of, with about as little as we know about it wasn't much, but just simple things most people would check, and everything seemed fine.
Other than that time I shifted hard into second, and it was almost if there were no gear there. I have no idea what else it could be other than it's just not grabbing right.
I can't think of anything else but the clutch.
Like I said, though. Idk much about them.

you may want to do a compression test, if they sold you the car like this, you got taken out to the cleaners, cause something is fucked up, all kidding aside

Well, as long as it's fixable, I don't mind.
I got the car from a dealer cheaper than what they'd buy it straight off me for because the used car manager was an idiot, and thought he was selling me an 07 LS.
I've already taken it to an opposing dealer and they offered me 2k over what I payed, so not to much complaining on my end if it's something that's fixable.
Could someone possibly link me a video of a stock SS/SC pull?

The boost is showing the same as in 1st.
about 12 - 13.
Doesn't drop or climb.
