How does the car respond to this setup? Im thinking just a pulley becuase I have the plugs already and Im curious as to how this setup is without a stage upgrade kit from gm

If i had to buy a pulley should I buy from billet flow? I dont really wanna go smaller than the 3.15 too. Are there different types of pullies and will I need a pulley puller?

pulley puller yes.... billetflow definately.... they will rent your their pulley puller for $50... also once an interchangeable is on your car all you need is an alan wrench to change sizes... different types of pullies umm as in brands yes but billetflow is the best IMO

there is tons of different companies, and you will need to remove the S/C and use a pulley puller for all of them. But personally i would make sure to go with something that has an interchangeable hub system, so you can go to a smaller pully and back with no problems

you dont have to do it but your boost will get knocked back down to 12.5 psi when you should be boosting more with a smaller pulley....

Doesnt a smaller pulley build boost alot faster though too? Im interested in boost more quickly more than more boost.

it will build boost more quickly but you also want to be able to get full boost potential for the top of the gears.

You don't have to do the bypass mod. I haven't done it on my car and you still notice a difference in power. I know a lot of other people are running the bypass mod with no problems but I've never felt comfortable about doing it. The injectors are already maxed with a stock pulley so I didn't want to up the boost (in the upper rpms) and not have enough fuel. Once the GM stage 1 is installed it won't bleed off the boost anymore and the car will have the fuel it needs.

Do you guys recommend changing plugs even after the Stage 1 reflash? or is it only necessary with the smaller pulley without the flash? comments are appreciated

I wouldn't change the heat range of the plug until you add more boost. What I did, before I had the pulley, was switch the stock platinum plugs for copper ones (NGK BKR6E). It made the car run smoother.

I really want the 3.15 to go with my ngks but I also want to see what happens with you and others that have the 3.15 and are getting the stage 1. I want to see if its a good combo.

It will be a great combo. The 3.15 will give the same amount of boost as the Stage 2 pulley.
