The 3 inch Exhaust

I have noticed that some members are runing a 3 inch exhaust. Does anyone have dyno numbers for this? I would think that a 3 inch exhaust on these cars would be overkill. Just wondering before I install the 2.5.

Unless you plan on going over 350 HP, the 2.5" is fine.

What if you plan on doing 300whp for now...2.5" should be good enough, don't you think?

3 inch isint necessary for our SC applications due to lack of backpressure. You would probably lose power.

I lost nothing. I felt the added pull as soon as I drove away from the shop. I have no regrets. And for anyone planning on doing an engine upgrade later your set for whatever you throw at it.

I want to see what a 2.75 would do.....I wonder if that would give us optimal gains.

Personally this debate is like asking a woman and a guy how it feels to give birth. Until the guy craps a watermelon he is just debating opinion, not fact.
There are alot of opinions on how well a 3" will work but unless a person puts one on then they are only giving an opinion, not fact (with our cars)
