3 Jaw pulley puller

Has anyone used this from an auto part store? Just taking off stock pulley and putting 2.8 on.
Also I heard people using an power steering module to press on new hub. Any input?

To take off a stock pulley you may be ok as they are pretty beefy. 3 pull points though could have the potential to bend the pulley in an odd way and maybe scrape the shaft. Idk, I've alway used a proper puller. But use at your own risk!

2.8? I though you was turbo

IDK about that type of puller, if not have you checked into renting a pulley puller? That or if the SC is already off a dealer should do it really cheap.

Hell, while you are at it, just use a hammer and chisel. Or go the distance and ask if you can borrow someones. Im sure there are a few people on here that would let you use theirs for a deposit.

And yes, i am cool

Yeah, removing the stock pulley and pressing on the hub is part of the GM S2 install. Chevy dealer did mine when I had it but pretty sure any machine shop can do it.

I went that route. They then told me they needed to use a puller they used for a torque converter to remove it and god knows what to mash the hub on.

Long story short, I was out the money for them doing it and they wrecked the bearings in my SC, I ended up having to get a new SC. It made such bad sounds lol .

So make sure they know what they are doing, and the first guy you talk to isn't shocked that what your carrying is a supercharger off a Cobalt that came with it on.

i took mine to my shop we have a standing press. Hung the blower in it picked a small socket put on the shaft and pressed it out NOTE (be sure to catch blower LOL) and yes a power steering pulley installer works to press the hub on

Instead of possibly ruining your blower snout, just order this rental:
