8000 Rpm???
well on the higher boosted/hp cars stock cams, peak power is at 6200rpm. Need a decently bigger cam, and the supertech 76lb springs would be fine. Add in some nice forged slugs at 9.5:1 compression, nuetral balance shafts, and you're good to go.
Stay away from 10.1:1 and > compression, unless you run 100+ octane everyday,

looking at those graphs. i see higher HP points at about 6600.....
in your second graph, look at where it says the numbers (248)
youll see a peak right there, that is higher than anything further up in RPMS

mine makes power past 7. peak power was at 7200, shift at 7600

the balance shaft thing depend son how you drive.
im running the supertech 78lb springs, ti retainers, seat locators.

so... im confused with all of the stuff here.
who has proof that a stock blower and stock everything else makes power past 6800?
who has proof that with other than stock parts our stock cams make power past 7k?

no nuetral balance shafts? is that why you run up to 7600 no higher? this^ seems like an ideal set-up!
there is a reason why they say change the balance shafts out. if you are at 8k+ for extened periods of time. change them out.
Probably coming a little late into this, but back onto the compression thing. Don't forget to factor in overlap depending on what cams you go with. Something like the 272s can affect effective compression.
IMO I wouldn't go anything lower than 10:1 on these cars. They do lose a bit of TQ, ask the 8.5:1 and lower guys.
I have also tapped 8K quite a few times on stock motor, not on purpose, but I have a few logs of it.

lol yeah I've pegged the tach out on accident on more than a few occasions, stock valvesprings and all lol.
as for compression, I'm sticking with the 9.5:1 easier to tune, more pump gas friendly and it seems to like all the boost I cram in there.
lol thanks Cam.
