Actually you can use whatever gas you want. Depending on temp, elevation, climate is if your car is retarding timing because of knock. I know people that get away with 87 on the stock setup. But once you jump to stage 2 you cant use 87 or 89. Its recommended to use 91, your car will run a lot better.

He never said he was worried or couldnt afford a few extra bucks. Someone told him he could use 87 and he was just asking.

Running 87 or 89 will most likely reduce your timing because of knock which will affect your performance.

93 all the time for my rides!

Mike

i was talking about origional poster mainly...allthough temp and altitude doesn't have to do with which gas u use ..if it says 91 is minmum recommended then do urself a favour and most likely thousands of dollars later due to a rebuild by spending an extra 2$ for the RIGHT gas

why even ask though if you know it should take premium

its like asking someone else if im hungry when i already know the answer

Actually temp would have something to do with a Force Inducted vehicle. If its hotter out the IAT2 temps will increase drematically. Therefore, resulting in the shitty 87 or 89 gas preigniting itself.... ping or knock! So the car will sensor that and retard the timing. Please tell me how the Temp. out does not affect a vehicle and the **** gas you put in it?

hence the reason why u don't use the 87-89 in the first place like i was saying? and yes i know the ping or knock
