Aeroforce intercepter instead of boost gauge

I have an aeroforce gauge and it has a boost reading on it. What I want to know is will it display the boost accurately (as well as stock boost) or will I need to keep both gauges???

Mine read the same as the factory guage when I had them hooked up at the same time. Yes I know that the OEM guage isnt totally accurate and is digital.

it SHOULD read boost fine if you have a 2.5 bar MAP sensor and are tuned for it. For us NA guys who are boosted, but still running the stock 1bar MAP sensor..of course it wont show boost.

my stock boost gauge was reading 16psi and my interceptor was at 11psi. engine vacuum as way off as well. the car would idle at 16-17inHg and the interceptor would be at 9-10. i dunno. lol

When I had both my interceptors and the factory boost gauge, they read the same in boost and vacuum.

ive had dual interceptors for about a year now on my redline, guages read boost and vacuum fairly accuratly. I can see issues with the readings with people who have custom tunes. With all the other info the guages give you, slightly off boost readings are forgivable...

Hey Casey, thanks for the reminder on that. I don't believe I have tried it since I've done the 2.5 bar MAP conversion. I'll have to test it out.

It kind of makes you wonder how accurate the rest of the parameter readings are then on the gauge.

Casey,

Thanks for the suggestion. I switched it over to the boost reading the other day since I did the IAT2 conversion and so far it displays the boost properly. I will have to do some more checking, but it appears ok.

Thanks. Gene.
