221 coolant temp? Good lord what are you doing

I dunno maybe i never reach that high because i have my fans controlled to come on alot earlier with Hp tuners

As far as IAT2 ive been seeing that go into the upper 150s in traffic and even driving on the highway gets down to low 120s but it was 97 degrees yesterday when i was in york or at least thats what the car said

Id love to get rid of this stock heat exchanger

Usually for terminators we end up going for LFP dual-pass or AFCO once you start pushing
higher boost, since in our cars, the M112 Heaton gets really hot fast, and a larger H/E on
our cars will prevent (mostly) excessive heatsoak. Basically, driving around town, once my
car is heatsoaked from a few hard runs, I'm down anywhere from 20-35 horsepower because of the eaton soaking the **** out of the rest of the engine.

I'm going to be buying a LFP very soon. (Because they stencil either SVT, Cobra, or Terminator on it for 10 bucks lol)

If one of you guys are looking to pick up a very good condition H/E PM me for details. I'll be selling mine as soon as I put the order in for a larger one which should be by the end
of this week. Mine is in great shape, as the car only has 15k miles on it.

How is the AFCO one.. the orignal one is $200 and the proseries which is dual pass is $250.. they both seem much larger than the stock one, I wonder if I should go for it or just stick with the stock one?

Generally, and sadly, I haven't heard great things about the AFCO H/E.

Fluidyne I hear good results about, but it didn't have the surface area/cooling capabilities on the cobra for me to go after over what my stocker already produces.

My stocker is actually a nice unit, but I'm looking for about 650 horse this summer, and I don't want to take any chances with it.

The best things I've heard as far as H/Es for the terminator go... have been about LFP, and Gord's. Gord's H/E, as far as I know, is the absolute largest, and had the best results for the Cobra, but it was also near $500 if I remember correctly.... too rich for my blood

well im lookin on this site and it shows the width and length of the stock cobra h/e next to the AFCO Original and the AFCO Pro Series , the 2 AFCO's look like the same in width, and there like three times the width of the stock one, and the pro series is alot longer, i dunno how the stock one fits but these things look really wide like mustangthief said...

Do not buy from RPMoutlet.

That's the best advice you'll get.

If you go over to www.svtperformance.com OR www.modularfords.com and even MENTION RPMoutlet you'll hear A LOT of pissed off people.

In fact there's SEVERAL threads up now about people having complains pending with the BBB because of RPMoutlet.

They even emailed a member, and said they would sue him for slander if he posted about his bad experience with them on SVTperformance (LOL!)

I stay away from RPMoutlet at all costs.

a dual pass would be a good start but as mustangchief said before there is a debate over weather this works or not you can get it through gm its a performance accesories. Also you can get the stock cobrah/e off ebay or a cobra forum, also there is the cobalt addiction h/e and that is at www.cobalt-addiction.com

I think all the H/Es are the same, they are huge and keep the coolant cool, the CA H/E looks bigger than the fluidyne one. They all do the same thing.

They are definitely not all the same.

You're correct in that they all accomplish the same job, keeping the coolant cool. But there's tons of speculations and debates over the fit, quality, and sheer performance, of each unit. Not to mention cost:value.

If I had a Balt, I'd probably end up going for a Cobra H/E, or a Gords (if it fit). If the LFP one fits, that would be a good buy as well, as I've heard of a VERY few cracking, but the customer service is top notch and the few people I heard that had problems were taken care of immediately.

Their site is www.lightningforceperformance.com if you're interested in looking at their exchangers.

If you are looking for a Cobra one though, I'm taking mine off Thurs./Fri. and will be posting it up on a few sites for $150 (shipped) and see what comes up. Shoot me a PM if you want some pics. I live in NE OH btw.

If you buy the LFP Extreme Dual Pass and buy the mounting brackets from bwoody can you mount it on a SS/SC or do the mounting brackets from bwoody only work with a stock cobra h/e?
