AIS Kit - Boost Line
AIS Kit - Boost Line
OK, I want to make sure I do this correctly, I am getting ready to install my AIS Stage 1 Kit, however I noticed in two different posts that two different lines were used for the Boost switch? (but they are also two different kits, one is AIS and one is Coolingmist)Which is the correct one or does it not matter. The two different boost lines I noticed are the line that leads to the selonoid on the supercharger and the one from the manifold. Now the AIS instructions say manifold boost, so I am assuming it requires to tap into the hose coming off the manifold.
Just trying to make sure I use the correct boost line and some reasurance that I am tapping the correct one before I commit..
No clues, anyone?

You want to use the line coming from the manifold. Also, use some of the etra fluid line to run your boost line. This tubing will not expand like rubber hose and give you a better signal to the boost switch. To make slipping the hose over the barbed fitting, simply warm the end with a lighter for 1-2 seconds. It will then slip right over without much force. Be sure to do it quickly as the tubing will cool off quickly once again becoming harder to work with.

Of course, I wish I would have read about the fluid tubing, I used the rubber vacuum hose that I picked up at the auto store.
In all, this was an easy install, and works great.
Thanks Rodney, works great, before I saw your post I checked the lines to verify them and the manifold is definitely the one; makes me feel even better now that I read your post.
