This is kinda an odd ball question and im not sure where to put it so i decided here because it has to do with exhaust and preformance. I have a mangaflow muffler with a tip maybe an inch bigger than factory and im no stop harassed by the cops that it is illegal and i need to figure it out.... Do anyone know of a law or find one on the net cause i sure cant thanx

 

if its just the tip... they cant really say anything...

If it was THAT illigal, and its just a tip, they would make u take it off right then and there... haha

I dont see how they can tell u to take something off if it has NOTHING to do with emissions..

 

Could be a noise law if it's insanely loud.

 

If its just a tip it shouldnt mess with the sound... really at all...

Um...I don't know about that (taking it off). When I was running **** yellow headlight bulbs I got a warning and a "take them off when you have the time". God...there is nothing better than driving with yellow headlights at night; so beautiful.

 

It's not JUST a tip. Possibly got a bad muffler / bad install if sound is the reason.

 

I have a magnaflow muffler on a ss/sc also have zzp header/dp cat combo. He hasnt said anything about it being to loud just that the tip of themuffler is too large.... I know i think it is bullshit

 

iirc in alberta you are able to change your muffler/resonator but the pipe diameter must be the same as stock, this includes the tip. im not 100% sure (im in bc, as long as its under 95 decibles they dont care) so dont quote me.
